What is AutoMessage?
AutoMessage is an easy to use chat scheduler plugin. It is a plugin perfect for server admins who would like to announce broadcasts at configurable intervals. The plugin features a rich in-game config editor as well as the ability to edit the config from the disk. The plugin is designed to be very lightweight and cause no impact on server resources! Installation:
Just drag and drop into your plugins folder then restart or reload your server! Simple!
Usage and Information:
This plugin utilises Hidendra's plugin metrics system, which means that the following information is collected and sent to mcstats.org:
- A unique identifier
- The server's version of Java
- Whether the server is in offline or online mode
- The plugin's version
- The server's version
- The OS version/name and architecture
- The core count for the CPU
- The number of players online
- The Metrics version Opting out of this service can be done by editing plugins/Plugin Metrics/config.yml and changing opt-out to true.
This plugin features an update command which will check if you are running the latest build and download the update to the plugin folder if it not currently installed. You are required to trigger the command manually and you must restart or reload the server for changes to take effect.

Add an additional list and adjust the permissions to negate the desired lists in specific worlds. Read all the pages to get the hang of how to configure this.

This can be accomplished with an additional plugin that modifies the permissions per user; however, I will not be adding this functionality to the plugin as it deviates from the plugins goal.

Posted Nov 25, 2013Hey this is an amazing plugin and I use it all the time. I just wondered if you could make it so a message list can be whitelisted/blacklisted in certain worlds. I'm hoping to add TIP messages for the faction world, but I only want players in that world to be able to see it. Thank you!

Posted Nov 11, 2013Could you add a command that would allow users to turn off receiving automatic messages perhaps /messageoff. The idea is once they have seen all the messages they would learn the command and could turn the messages off.

Posted Nov 6, 2013Hello! I like your plugin and use it for a long time, but now I think you have to reorganize permissions.
I plan to start an RPG server and I will have a number of cities and I want to give city heads ability to work with their own message broadcasts (visible only for citizens).
Change automessage.commands.edit to automessage.edit.<list> to allow player edit messages only in one list or give him automessage.edit.* to edit all lists. All list-specific commands should be in form automessage.<action>.<list> or automessage.<action>.*.
All other permissions can be simplified, like automessage.commands.reload → automessage.reload, ...update too. automessage.receive.<list> should be the same but add automessage.receive.* to receice all lists.
This is not so big work, for an hour, but gives a lot of possibilities.

I was wondering how i made it so that Owners with permission to everything dont see the different messages? I have tried different stuff but dont seem to work.

Posted Oct 9, 2013Hm the plugin work but it dont send messages. Bukkit 1.6.4. I think it dont work for 1.6.4 .PLS UPDATE I LOVE THAT PLUGIN! :D AND permissions and config is configured.

Posted Oct 6, 2013I'm having a problem on my server. The plugin functions normally but I can't seem to get the permissions to work. I firstly tried just opped players, without success. I then gave the permission automessage.commands.* , still no success. I then put all of the permissions in separately and the message still states 'You do not have permission for this command!'
If anyone else has a fix for this I'd greatly appreciate it. Also I am running on 1.6.4 and the config files are correct.
