I believe the plugin was Monster Apocalypse. Even though I touch the settings of the plugin, I still managed to get that strange effect. It was quite fun.
I haven't heard of the new ability creation system, so I wouldn't be sure what kind of abilities I would be interested in. Maybe something piston-wise? Like, you can move objects like a piston would, (an good reference to what I'm trying to explain would be in Pokemon when you use Strength to move boulders around), or launch blocks like a tnt cannon might. Or if possible go one step further and have someone be able to select a block, and move it to a different space, like telekinesis, sort of. You could even be able to place a block in an empty air space, with no connecting blocks, you get my drift?
I remember hearing an old idea about an iron man suit. Fly around, shoot fireballs. Maybe add a Hancock effect where if you fall from a certain distance you create different size craters :D Sounds fun.
Glad to hear you'll keep the fractional abilities. I always loved to be able to do that.
I hope a recommended build comes soon! I'm excited to see your next update!
Thanks for checking in! I have recoded the whole framework of the plugin to work with 1.4 and the creation of armor abilities through anvils. Now I am just waiting on Bukkit to release a recommended build containing the new API needed to code the rest.
I am still looking into taking off the defensive buffs for armor but from what I've read it is calculated client side... What was that plugin you said canceled the defensive buffs of armor again?
I want to implement the new heads somehow but I am still thinking of something that will go well with the new ability creation system. Any ideas?
(And I'm glad to hear you like the mix-and-match abilities. There will still be full suit requirements on some abilities but ones that can be fractionalized (partial abilities) such as speed, jump height, etc. will be implemented)

Hey Tooner! Long time no talk! It's been a couple months I believe. Just wanted to check up and see how things are going. Still love the idea of this mod, and still support it.
Have you figured out how to take off defence buffs for armor? Remember when I gave you that suggestion awhile ago? I wanted to have a server where people had to rely on only the abilities of armor, instead their defensive power. I would love to see that implemented, if possible.
Secondly, have you thought of adding stats you might want to the special heads you can find or get? (Creeper head, skeleton head, pig head, etc). Just some more pieces of equipment to bind abilities to :D
I'll continue to check back and see how development is going! Good luck!
EDIT: Also still want to see the comeback of mix-and-match abilities. That was a great feature.

I want to try to make it so you need lets say, Boots, Chest, Helm, and Leggings with Knockback 7 to get the Spider Ability. Kinda get what i'm saying? (I don't even understand what i wrote myself @_@)
Yes this is being fixed for version 3.0. The new update will feature crafting abilities on anvils so I may make a few mini plugins to hook into Armor Abilities, one of them being what you are asking to do. Stay tuned!
Hi, I honestly love this plugin. But for the next update can you fix the glitch when people look at their inventory their ability of their armor won't turn off. It's very weird Idk if its possible to fix. And also maybe set permissions that apply to a rank and if you want to set the time or how long the armor can stay stabilitized.

Not sure if this matters but "ability" should have no capital letters. Again, not sure if this matters but its the only thing I see wrong. Anyway, version 3.0 will come out around when Bukkit releases a recommended build for 1.4.4 so I will try to patch all bugs in that. Let me know if this works.
There is currently a healing ability. It is called Vampire. If you mean something like you can heal other people you can always just use splash potions for that.

Possibly. Im really not quite sure. In any case version 3.0 will come out within a week or two so hopefully that will resolve your issue.
In the mean time, try deleting your armor abilities folder from the plugins folder and try restarting the server.

Its not spigot, just tested it without spigot. So it must be a plugin conflict?
