Ancient Gates
Introduction
This plugin can allow those with permission, to create gates. These gates will teleport any player, entity (incl. passenger) or vehicle (incl. passenger) that enters that gate to the designated location and/or execute a command. This is a very easy to use, easy to maintain transportation plugin! As a bonus, the gates can look any way you like (vertical or horizontal), with a selection of portal materials.
To get started, try the in game command: /gate

Posted Sep 21, 2013Hello I'd like to start by saying your plugin is an amazing plugin and one of the few that actually works in server to server movement via portals. I currently have 3 servers all linked together with bungeecord and use AncientGatesReloaded to teleport between them. However, I recently tried to add a fourth server and hit a problem. I have a hub server connecting all servers together with portals. On the hub server the portal to my new server works. When I try using /gate setto to send the location from the new server to the hub server me and whoever is around me on the hub server crash with the error ReadTimeoutException:null. I use multiverse-core and multiverseportals on the new server so one of them may conflict. I don't see a fault with your plugin though as when I do /gate serverls it shows up the the hub server on my new server and vice verse.

I've PM'd you, you should be able to fix the issue by simply setting the "to" location so you're pointing away from the gate.

The "/server" command is part of BungeeCord and not AncientGates.

You need to set "useVanillaPortals" to false in you config file (conf.json). See the Configuration Settings page.

There obviously seems to be a conflict with MultiWorld, I'm not sure how MultiWorld differs from Multiverse. I shall do some testing for you and get both plugins installed on my dev server.

Posted Sep 15, 2013Any chance of adding command gates? You can set commands for gates, when a player walks through a command gate it runs the command on a player or console level. Would be good for things such a lobby joining, gates that go to warps, etc.

First off, I just wanted to let you know that the plugin is amazing and my players love it.
I also just wanted to let you know that lately I have been having the issue where players will enter a gate and randomly go to the Nether. I also have multiworlds installed as well and will also be placing this bug on there wall to.

I'm having an issue where portals using any non portal material are not working
They Open and Close correctly and their entries in gate.json seem to update correctly
But entering these portals doesn't do anything
Change the material back to portal and it works fine
Edit: In addition, the "/gate setmaterial" command is not recognised by the plugin or listed in game /gate help (have you maybe removed this feature)
I really wanted an alt material to avoid conflicts with my multi world plugin :(
Is there any reason why I should be having this problem?

Uhmm... This is very odd. And there are no errors from AncientGates when starting up the server?
Few quick questions. What OS are you using, windows or linux? And is it a 64-bit OS or a 32-bit OS?
