Ancient Gates

Table of Contents

Introduction

This plugin can allow those with permission, to create gates. These gates will teleport any player, entity (incl. passenger) or vehicle (incl. passenger) that enters that gate to the designated location and/or execute a command. This is a very easy to use, easy to maintain transportation plugin! As a bonus, the gates can look any way you like (vertical or horizontal), with a selection of portal materials.

To get started, try the in game command: /gate

You need to set "useVanillaPortals" to false if you wish to use gate materials other than the vanilla portal materials.

Read the configuration settings page for more details.

No. No old version of AncientGates.

Here's my config.json It has the option listed there but doesn't accept it as a command:

For bungeecord on lobby server I did

/gate create maingate /gate setfrom maingate

/server main on main server..

I try to do /gate setto maingate lobby

I get "Still connecting to bungeecord, try again"

aargh ... why..

you can make water gates not change the biome? Multiverse-Portals can do this without changing the biome. for this reason I have changed to Multiverse-Portals. If you could solve this problem, I would remove MvP, and would use Ancients Gates as my favorite plugin for portals. n.n

What are you doing when you encounter the error? What have you set the port numbers to for each instance? Have you setup individual passwords for each instance or the same password?

I you're using the latest dev build, perhaps try using it without socket comms enabled first.

Hi there, this plugin ist realy nice and fast. But i have a big Problem with BungeeCord. I did everything what the tutorial says and did this i think 3 times till now and every time i get the same error:

10:59:27 [SEVERE] java.io.EOFException 10:59:27 [SEVERE] at java.io.DataInputStream.readInt(Unknown Source) 10:59:27 [SEVERE] at org.mcteam.ancientgates.sockets.SocketClient.run(SocketClient.java:52) 10:59:27 [SEVERE] at java.lang.Thread.run(Unknown Source)

i took the newest dev build of ancientgates and the bungeecord version from 26.08.2013. After 5 hours of work i have no idea whats wrong whith the plugin. Maybe you can help me? Thx Balui

Use the latest development build from the link above. This is unfortunately a bug in 1.7.1.

When i type "gate setentities tosurvival false" i am kinda expecting that no items pass through the gate when it tells me it succeeded... but what should i do if items still go through after this? i am using v 1.7.1

so I set the permission node in my permissionsEX "ancientgates.setto.*" and its giving me the same message that I lack the permissions to do /gate setto command

help I am having trouble with this plugin im using bungeecord and I am running 3 servers ones the hub server and then I have server 1 and server 2 and in both server one and server 2 it telling me I lack the permissions to use /gate help and /gate setto even tho I gave myself the permissions to do that command in both servers in my permissions EX file and I don't understand what im doing wrong

If you visit the stats page mcstats.org/plugin/AncientGates and take a look at the "Gate Materials" pie chart, you'll see there are plenty of servers using different gate materials.

I don't understand why this is not working for you =(.

You haven't got an older version of AncientGates lying around in your plugins directory do you? Perhaps under a slightly different name?
