AdvenTour
This is a BETA plugin. Please use with caution
AdvenTour
This plugin is a multi world management plugin!
Latest version of AdvenTour works with 1.5 and can be downloaded here: http://www.mediafire.com/?n7xv765dxxu3l0r!
It will simply allow you to manage a lobby world, from where you can place "self designed" portals to other worlds! But not just to other worlds! It will allow you to have Adventure Maps on your server!
When a player enters a portal with a sign above that describes the adventure map, he will not only be teleported to the adventuremap
but to his OWN COPY of the adventure map! This will allow him to destroy everything as he wishes, or play the adventure map as it is intended!
Installation and configuration guide
Portals
The portals used for teleporting is just the "center of a normal nether portal" with whatever design around it you like!
The ID of the "center of normal nether portals" is '90', so you can spawn it and design your own portals! You can use whatever materials
around it you like, as long as the player stands in the "block id 90" to get teleported, and the sign is placed on the block directly above the player!
When placing the sign above the portal block, be sure to add the name of the map that portal will lead to in line #2 anywhere on the sign like this [MapName]. This also applies for the Multiplayer portal, just by typing [Friends] instead of the map name as seen in this example:

Anti-cheat
To prevent players from cheating, a few settings can be made individually for each adventuremap.
It is possible to decide which blocks CAN be broken, and which CANNOT.
And which blocks CAN be placed, and which CANNOT.
It is also possible for an admin to play through an adventure map of his own copy in "admin mode". This will, if enabled on the specific map, only allow players in the future, to place blocks on the exact same spot that the admin placed them on. This way players cannot cheat by placing water places they are not allowed to get over fences and so on.
Additional features
Apart from all of this, the plugin also have a lot of other features!
When a player leaves a copy world (his own world) to the lobby, or exit the server, he will be able to spawn on the exact same location next time he/she enters his/her map!
Players will loose all items when joining a copy world, so they cannot cheat with items from other worlds!
Individual "chat rooms" for each world, so the players can only see the messages they wanna see.
And again, a lot more features!

What we did on one of our servers was to make them 2x2. When placed next to eachother they turn - Don't think It's possible any other way (the structure in the screenshots was built so the portals would look the nicest).

Posted Dec 30, 2012Is there a way to "rotate" a block 90? I place them in a 1wide 2high configuration in a nether portal (like the picture shows on curse website for this plugin) but they are at a 90 degree angle sticking out.....ideas?

Yeah, thats a problem with the most other plugins. They don't support multi-worlds. To answer your question, yes its possible to keep maps loaded. In the config file, you can add the worlds that you do not want to unload :-)

Posted Aug 28, 2012Awesome, a DungeonBuilder replacement.
Not as powerful, but hey its updated and looks neat and even has some features DB doesn't!
My only issue with this is, since the maps constantly get copied per each user will it not play nice with custom mob spawning plugins? I run scripts when a player steps on a pressure plate, etc. and it doesn't seem to be working with this plugin properly :/.
I Basically need a constantly loaded world(s) so my scripts and plugins can play nice with this one, but the maps need to be reset whenever a player leaves... Is that possible?

THX! :) I know how to fix it then :D Even though it would be better if Bukkit fixed this bug, than if i did. Cause my solution would be to teleport players with 1 tick in between.

Og yeah, i can see the problem with adventure maps like yours. I will create a feature to turn off the "keep inventory" for each world :)
In some worlds, if you loose your stuff, you would have to start all over. And a lot of times, that sucks ass, cause the maps is way to hard to go through without dying in one try ;)

Posted Aug 12, 2012Just want to point out we used to use to to clear our inventories before starting new maps, you know to make it fair.
Edit: Plus for games like race for wool. That is not a good idea at all. Items need to be where the player died.
Edit again for more clarity: This one change takes all the challenge out of any adventure map. No worries about dying I will just respawn with all my items. I'll set my bed at the door, then zerg rush.. If you fall in lava you need to lose all your items. Its a core game mechanic.

Yes, it's moved. It works pretty good.
@Mooash
Well, it's not really a bad idea. I've never played with anyone where we died at the same time + its 100000 times better to get the items a bit mixed up, instead of loosing all the items + most of the times, you sleep in your "own" bed, which gives each player their own spawn, and therefore the items isn't mixed.

Posted Aug 12, 2012Seriously? That sounds like a pretty bad idea. What if two people die at once? Why not look into the source code of Death Control

Posted Aug 12, 2012when a player dies on the lobby world the player is moved to the spawn before death. they then die which causes the items to be dropped around spawn.

Yeah, as GmK1 said, you can follow that link to get the file. By some reason, bukkit haven't approved the new version yet. When they approve it, it will become the standard download.
@GmK1
Thx for the help :D
