Zephyrus

Once Sponge is up and running, Zephyrus will be ported over. No support for Zephyrus will be provided for Bukkit 1.8.
Zephyrus is an all in one magic plugin. It has many magical features such as spells, items and enchantments that are meant to be used on survival and RPG servers alike. It supports economies, protection plugins, permissions, and more! It also has an API that allows other developers to create add-ons. The name is pronounced Zef-er-uhs and comes from the Greek god of the West Wind. You can get started via the Getting Started page below.

Updating
Zephyrus uses auto updating which connects to dev.bukkit.org. It can be disabled in the plugins/Zephyrus/config.yml file or in the plugins/Updater/config.yml file.
Metrics
This plugin utilises Hidendra's plugin metrics system. Opting out of this service can be done by editing plugins/Plugin Metrics/config.yml and changing opt-out to true. The following information is collected and sent to mcstats.org: A unique identifier, the server's version of Java, whether the server is in offline or online mode, the plugin's version, the server's version, the OS version/name and architecture, the core count for the CPU, the number of players online, and the Metrics version

Hmmm never thought that it could have been a vanilla bug, maybe i'll give it a try with the enchantment api and more enhcantment plugin to see if the modified anvil will work with your enchants as well. Anyway loving the plugin keep up the good work! Also when are you planning on updating spell book addon, it looks really nice?

Il probably add a config option for particles as I am going to re-work the particle effects (and the whole plugin actually) in the next version and I'll look into the client crashing but I don't know if I can do anything about that as I think thats a vanilla minecraft bug.

Couldn't you do the same sort of hud as is used by ArmorHud plugin? That wouldn't require spout.
Also a few things i've noticed while playing; Home spell and possibly others are not craftable (Or have an outdated recipe?), maybe you could add a config option for things such as the particles (especially for flight) so you can choose to have less or no particles and I get a client crash when trying to add items with your enchants into the anvil.
Also I might do a little plugin spotlight on this sometime soon as I really enjoy it and think it is one of the best plugins out.

Posted Jul 10, 2013Just started messing around with your plugin. Wow, very, very impressive system. I was curious though, is there any way to add a mana bar/meter in the hud? I'm not very knowledgeable about mod making as it pertains to minecraft, but if you couldn't are you (or anyone else reading this) aware of a mod that would show (or I could edit to show) the player mana without having to use the command all the time?

Hm... If it says You do not have permission to buy that spell then you need to make sure they have zephyrus.spell.whateverspelltheyarebuying or zephyrus.spell.*

Posted Jul 7, 2013Not sure if i am doing this wrong or not, but I added zephyrus.buy into a group and it doesnt seem to work. Players still cant buy from the shop and i've been checking back and forth if it was in the right group and it was. I am also updated to 1.6.1 if that means anything.

If you have been using spellbook the entire time then I know exactly why this is happening.
The spellbook (I think) gets the default mana cost (due to absent minded ness when updating :P) but it will be fixed for the next release. /cast and bound wands should take the mana cost from the config. Il fix it right away.

Damn... here I am with yet another one :D.. but I just tried fireball set in spells for 40 (multiplier 5) I am level 1 mage
theoretically should be 200
now I tested it with a command and a spellbook :D spellbook = 50 mana /cast fireball = not enought mana! (being a lvl 1 I have only 100) I think the problem lies in the book ;/ which is a shame as they are very cool

at the same time another spell - flare in spells - cost 25 in config multiplier 5 in theory should cost 125
in practice it costs 100.... why?

Sorry to bother u yet again :D but I set the mana multiplier to 1 and adjusted the costs in spells.yml. for example i made the explosion spell cost 2500 mana and bolt 100 mana but it doesn t work. explosion doesn t drain any mana and it seems that the more mana the spell costs the more experience it gives back ;/ so I level up everytime I use explosion allowing for almost infinite usage.
I will reset it and try again but is there something I am missing? a spell like blink that I set to 100 in spells.yml with a multiplier 1 should cost 100 mana regardless of the level I am at, isn't that right?

thanks that helped a bit. Since I wrote I discovered couple things :D The problem I found I would encounter if I implemented zephyrus is that there would be certain "leaking" a mage could craft a spelltome and give it to a player who can learn it (problem no.1 - needs perm that works for actually using spelltomes) or I am worried a mage could bind a spell to a wand and give the wand away (although I didn't test this yet)
I am now configuring the mana costs for spells but weird things happen. I made "mana" spell cost 100 and it in fact costs 100 but I made a bolt spell cost 10 and it somehow costs 100. Are the spell costs graded? by lvl of the mage or sth? what should I write in the spells.yml Also it seems the spells.yml could use a damage option for offensive spells. I know some of them have it but some don't.
Sorry for the long list of questions and problems :) I just really like the plugin and it's potential. I gave "RPGitems" a shot first but it is abandoned and limited so here I am.
thanks for the tip on mana pots I will use that and see how it goes...
