Wireless Redstone

Instant redstone signal transmitter, get rid of those wires!
Help translate WirelessRedstone in your language!
This plugin is used worldwide. For that reason, I made it possible switch easily between languages directly in the configuration of the plugin (see "How to use"). If your language is not available, you can translate it on this website and I will add your own work to the next release of WR!

- Please note that we're doing our best to make WirelessRedstone bugfree, it still may contain a few bugs and such.

Thanks
- Thanks a lot to Wmisiedjan, the creator of the plugin. He left the project more than a year ago, and since that moment, I'm the developer of the plugin. I made big changes, but some of his code still is in the plugin. He was also a great guy because the code was open, that's why I could take it and modify it. Thank you, mate ;)
- Thank you a lot to bb-generation who optimized the configuration part and update the plugin to maven.
- Thanks to my beta-testers (cannonb4ll, s32ialx, and Kervinou), your help is great!
- Thanks to all the persons who help me to improve this plugin, and report bugs.

If you want to post it here, please post:
- a description of what's happening.
- The version number of WirelessRedstone, and Craftbukkit.
- An error log if you could get it.

Posted Jan 28, 2014How exactly do you do a delay? Says you can, but I can't figure it out. I tried putting something like; [receiver] test 50
But it doesn't do it. Same for a transmitter.

Posted Jan 23, 2014Im getting a error with ChestShop 3.7.3 It says something about BlockPhysicsEvent and some stuff happens where the receiver sign was: Blocks are destroyed, the sign dupes itself or wires become magical redstone torches.
Spigot R3 1.7.2 I am always updating to the lastest Spigot from Jenkins.

Nothing functions correctly without redstone wire between the receiver sign and the object to be powered. This has never been a problem that I've seen before the 1.7 update to the plugin.

Errr... Sorry I made big changes on the new versions. Can you tell me what is annoying? I know there are some problems with the directions system, with signs on the walls, but I don't really know what else...

Posted Jan 19, 2014Not sure what has happened but every time I started the server it would spam me to update. I finally update and now half of everything I made does not work, and I am finding it difficult to make new things as the channels no longer power anything correctly :S.

Okay, the signs are within mere blocks of each other, yet will not power things correctly. Or at least, how I perceive "correctly" to be as compared to pre-1.7 versions of wireless redstone.

I don't really understand why is this happening, but i'll try to fix this asap.
@rebel6784231
You're welcome :)
@Slippery_Pete
I need to fill the documentation on how to use delayers, I didn't do it yet. And conerning the dependencies, I didn't try to run the latest build on 1..6.x but it should work.
@deleted_10174324
As I said, no, but i'll fix asap.
@harl
So that's funny, that's the first time someone tells me it powers the transmitters too... Well... err that's weird.
@Mike1215
The first issue is normal. It will be fixed soon, it's caused by the name of the latest file on dev.bukkit (too long to explain) The second one is more critical, it means that there are probably that do not correctly turn on / off, but I have an idea on why this happen.
To all of you guys : I'm working on my computer on the next release, but I can't give a date, since I have a lot of work to do IRL... Sorry

Posted Jan 17, 2014Hey licks, loved this add-on since it came out. But I'm having an issue. When I start my server, i get 2 errors. 1 saying:
"File versions should follow the format 'PluginName vVersion. Please notify the author of this error."
Then I get another one that says "Error while updating redstone event onBlockRedstoneChange for Receivers. Turn on Debug Mode to get more informations."
Any help?

Works perfectly fine for me. Powers up redstone lamps, pistons, doors, trap doors, redstone wires, toggles redstone torches and even powers/toggles other wireless redstone transmitters.
If it doesn't, there may be something wrong with chunk updates, or the transmitter and receiver are simply too far off each other. There's no actual limit in distance though, as long as all chunks containing the transmitter, receiver and any connected contraptions are loaded simultaneously (and that depends on the server's settings, and probably the clients' local settings too, like viewing distance). Not sure if it works across worlds.
Consider this: the signs that are the receivers are essentially toggled redstone torches, and as soon as the transmitter sign gets powered, the receiver sign becomes a redstone torch and works exactly like one too. If you want to power one block directly, the receiver sign has to be placed either below or right next to that block (since you can't put them directly *on* most of these blocks) - or you connect them via redstone wire.
@Slippery_Pete
Concerning delays: In short: That's what repeaters and actual circuits are for.
What wireless redstone does is essentially just a short-cut of redstone wire (except that the receiver isn't redstone wire but should be regarded as a redstone torch), so if you need a delay, what you can do is place a few repeaters in a row (and then add a second undelayed or low-delayed link to power the transmitter (or the contraption) without delay). You can use additional wireless redstone connections inside any circuitry, just keep in mind that this adds a very small delay by its own but I wouldn't count on it in any way.

Posted Jan 9, 2014Two things, does this plugin have Hard Version dependencies (Can I use a 1.7 version on a 1.6 server vice versa etc.) and how do I set it to have a delay, as that is mainly what I want this for.

Okay, they work; but they need to have redstone wire between the receiver and the object to be powered. Exception being traincarts it seems. Redstone items do not become powered from receivers next to them, only from receivers connected to the object with redstone wire.
It's not a HUGE setback, but it really defeats a lot of the purpose of the plugin to require wires to be placed.

I've been on a dutch server recently, it seems this bug is related to the durection part of the plugin. I recommend you to not put receivers on walls until next release, I think this fix will resolve the issues you guys are reporting

We tried with pretty much every redstone-powered block, and none of them worked properly.
