Wireless Redstone

Instant redstone signal transmitter, get rid of those wires!
Help translate WirelessRedstone in your language!
This plugin is used worldwide. For that reason, I made it possible switch easily between languages directly in the configuration of the plugin (see "How to use"). If your language is not available, you can translate it on this website and I will add your own work to the next release of WR!

- Please note that we're doing our best to make WirelessRedstone bugfree, it still may contain a few bugs and such.

Thanks
- Thanks a lot to Wmisiedjan, the creator of the plugin. He left the project more than a year ago, and since that moment, I'm the developer of the plugin. I made big changes, but some of his code still is in the plugin. He was also a great guy because the code was open, that's why I could take it and modify it. Thank you, mate ;)
- Thank you a lot to bb-generation who optimized the configuration part and update the plugin to maven.
- Thanks to my beta-testers (cannonb4ll, s32ialx, and Kervinou), your help is great!
- Thanks to all the persons who help me to improve this plugin, and report bugs.

Posted Dec 31, 2012WireLessRedStone 1.8.1b
- UseSQL: false (because for me easier to administrate in terminal-console with coordinates)
bukkit dev #2587 http://dl.bukkit.org/downloads/craftbukkit/ (not recommend, i have this issues in other versions before)
For all to verify procedure:
- build one WRt-Sign with channelname
- dont build WRr-Sign
- break the WRt-Sign
in server.log comes this messages http://pastebin.com/kvEJaqUh
i think it is a looking to verify after erase function inside WireLessRedStone and at this point no files in channels and the message is coming up.

@Nomadadon
Fall back to 1.8b would not fix it, because the only thing that I really changed was the update part, your issue about invalid caracter.
I have a fully working computer now, and I will be able to work in my train ('m going in vacation), so you can hope for a fix ;)

Posted Dec 29, 2012It looks to be 1.8.1b, the latest as of this morning. It was a fresh install so I didn't have much to go on. But after testing, it looks like I can't re-use a channel number. If I make a pair of A, destroy it and try to make a new A, I get that error. If I use the name "B" I'm fine.
Trying again to use "Foobar" I was able to create, destroy and re-create. But I just tried creating "1000" and it failed.
If you want to get on minecraft.bearsgrill.ch I can give you access to test.

Wich version's are you guys currently running?
Please always try to provide as much as info as you can when you post a bug. In this case version number is always recommended to post with a bug report.

Posted Dec 29, 2012Whenever I try to create a transmitter or receiver I've got a random chance (pretty high) of getting an error:
You cannot create a channel : Name contains invalid characters : a dot '.'!
But I'm creating a sign with 2 lines:
[transmitter] 1
and same for [receiver].

problems are absolute normal.
the new feature in minecraft/bukkit are terrible.
i downgrade my server to bukkit-DEV-#2573 and WireLessRedStone down to 1.8b because with this version i have less problems.

@cannonb4ll
As cannonb4ll said, I have to continue my work on the plugin. I'm sorry about the errors and I will do what I can to fix them asap. I have currently no idea about why it fails, but don't worry I'll find it, and then start to implement some other features.
But the problem should not be very hard to fix, because rcth successfully transfered his first channels.

No problem at all, sincerly this is not really a solution, but you had 4 signals so thats a easy fix.
We will still look into this problem.

Yes, I am able to create new channels that work.
Since I only had a few places the channels were used I just rebuild the signs and now all is well. Thanks for the assistance.

When you remove your wirelessredstone folder, and reload your server. Are you able to create transmitters/recievers that work? ( Be sure to backup, your channels first! )
@rcth
Reload je server -> Testen

I had a similar problem with mine so looked at the Config.yml and found a channel that was defined but didn't exist in the world anymore. I removed this channel and now the error no longer occurs..
However my existing channels (4 in total) sill do exist int he world but do not function. No errors are generated.

Dutch for rcth:
Thimo, heb je het even geprobeerd zonder een wirelessredstone folder? Wellicht dat je huidige config.yml corrupt is, dan krijg je namelijk deze storingen die jij hebt.
