WeatherReducer
Version 2.1.5
What?
WeatherReducer is a Minecraft bukkit mod that allows the frequency with which weather occurs to be reduced by a certain percent. The percent can be altered by command or by changing the value in the config file.
Commands
-
/wr change <percent> -- This command allows one to set the percent chance that a weather event will occur to any number between 0 and 1 inclusive (0 being 0%, .5 being 50%, and 1 being 100%). The commands permissions are currently defaulted to op and cannot yet be changed.
-
/wr show -- shows the current percent.
Source code
This mod is free and open source. The source for the mod is hosted through Github.

Posted Mar 10, 2014Finally got around to updating things. Sorry it took so long. Just did what I've been doing and ensured it would compile with the latest release 1.6.4-R2.0

Posted Oct 3, 2013Great plugin, it's a must-have.
I have a suggestion I think would be a huge help. Can you make it so that we can set the weather chance for individual biomes or regions?
Pretty please?

Posted May 8, 2013Hey everybody,
I just did the same thing as the last update: recompiled it using the new libraries and it showed no errors so the plugin should still work for everyone. Uploaded the newly compiled one just because. Old one should still work too (I'm pretty sure).

Yes. I'll update soon-ish. I've got final exams in a couple weeks so if I don't get to it this weekend then it'll be two weeks out.

Posted Dec 18, 2012Hey everybody,
I recompiled it, without any changes, using the latest stable bukkit libraries (1.3.2-R3.0) and got no errors so I've uploaded that as version 2.1.2. If you check the downloads it should be there. I have no real ability to test it right now so I would appreciate if the community could help.
Thanks, nefou50

I'd be willing to do that.
I've been really short on time lately but if I find some time I'd gladly add those features.
If anyone would like to fork the code on github and implement this feature I'd gladly take a look at it and pull it into the main project if it's done well. If it's not done well I might pull it anyway and just clean it up (of course still giving you credit where due). Otherwise I'll get to this eventually.

Posted Aug 30, 2012how about add in config values for like minimum time and maximum time a rain or storm can happen? this can be "second" feature of your plugin besides "percentage chance" feature and admin's can choose between both features with a config value "percentage-chance-instead-of-periods: true".
minimum-rain-wait: 1800 max-rain-wait: 5400 max-rain-duration: 300 thunderstorm-chance: 25.0
how it has the plugin WeatherRestrictions, but it seems to be a lagging plugin, so i decided to find a new "weather-timing" plugin.
