War

War - Minecraft PVP Arenas (TDM, CTF & more!)

War lets you create warzones, arenas that host team deathmatch and capture-the-flag battles.
Features:
As a player, you get a fast-paced PVP experience in SMP.
- Join a battle by entering through the warzone lobby. There is one gate per team (team diamond, gold or iron): step in to join that team.
- Your inventory is saved when you join a battle, and restored when you exit.
- When you die inside a warzone, you get instantly teleported back to your spawn, and one life is taken from your team's life pool. When that pool runs out, the other teams score a point!
- Steal the enemy team flag to score for your team.
- Fight over monuments, control points that, when captured, restore health to your teammates.
- Return the cake home to score a point for your team and refill your life pool.
- Capture the bomb and run for your enemy's spawn to blow it up. Careful! If you get attacked at close range you'll blow up.
As a warzone maker, you have total control.
- Take advantage cool landscape features or existing player-build structures and incorporate them in new warzones.
- Tons of options: friendly-fire, auto-assign, turn off PVP outside warzones, define respawn loadouts specific to each zone, and more!
War lets you keep mayhem contained in the warzones.
- All the blocks in a zone are reset at the end of every battle.
- Players are prevented from entering or leaving a zone - except through the designated warzone lobby - by a magic glass wall.
- A warhub can be created to link all your zones together.
Development builds of this project can be acquired at the provided continuous integration server.
These builds have not been approved by the BukkitDev staff. Use them at your own risk.

This plugin uses Metrics to gather data. If you would like to opt-out, you may do so by editing plugins/PluginMetrics/config.yml and changing opt-out to true. It sends the information on this page to Hidendra's servers.
Keeping stats enabled allows the War team to find which features of War are most enjoyed by players so we can focus on improving certain areas of the plugin to make the experience of playing War the best it can be.

Posted May 7, 2012Could you add a Last-Man-Standing mode please? It would be really cool to do a free-for-all game-type, when people run out of lives they are TPed out of the arena and aren't allowed to join! That would be really cool.

Posted May 3, 2012It'd be cool if you could make a portal change the "default" arena each time a game ended, that way every time some one went in it, they'd go to a random arena for that game, instead going to the same one each time. Sort of like when you go to a lobby on CoD, and a random map is picked for that lobby.

Posted May 2, 2012This is a really big issue....could you have the clear inventory event at war end when everyone is returned to the war lobby, then a inventory restore when the go into the war hub?

Posted May 2, 2012We got rid of spout some time back, but the scores and messages on the top left of the screenshot would be really awesome to have. Is it possible to have it where you can set a wall somewhere with a lot of signs, and then dynamically update those signs the same way that the messages works? Like a list of teams, scores, lives, messages

Posted Apr 30, 2012Ok so i was wondering if you could add infected game mode. If you don't know how that works I'll explain it. One person is infected at the start. Then the infected kills one player and he joins the infected team. This continues until either the infected team has all the players or the infected teams lives run out. I think that this would be a great addition to this plugin. Since it already is spout compatible it would be cool if the infected looked like zombies. I hope you guys add this to the plugin. Posted Apr 30, 2012Does this plugin come with the PVP immunity thingy, Once a player dies outside a warzone then they cannot be injured until they pick up an item ? If so how would I turn that off, I dont see anything like that in any of my YAML files and this setting appeared when I installed WAR to my server. unless its part of the minecraft game :? idk Thanks for some help. My copy of War is, and has been since my last server world, largely broken due to this message. Two teams on a standard CTF map with custom inventory will be COMPLETELY unable to attack or injure each other with the bows, swords, and potions both teams carry because they "can't injure defenseless players." Before (I believe) 1.7, this mod worked great and I changed nothing in the meantime after updating to the most current 1.7.1 version.
The warhub and all my war zones are all completely unusable due to this bug. Can anyone pose a solution?

Players can join the arena and click an item in their inventory so they are holding it with their mouse. Once the game is over, they place it in their actual inventory and keep that item.
Can this be fixed??
