Vote Promoter
Features
This plugin works with Votifier: http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/votifier to enable the logging of votes and automatic promotion of players.
Commands
/vpro backup - backs up the database to backup.yml
/vpro restore - restores to db from backup.yml
Permissions
votepromoter.votes.add - allows use of the vote add command
votepromoter.ranks.add - allows use of the rank add command
votepromoter.ranks.remove - allows use of the ranks remove command
votepromoter.votes.set - allows use of the vote set command
votepromoter.votes.get - allows use of the vote get command
votepromoter.backup - allows use of the backup command
votepromoter.restore - allows use of the restore command
Configuration
config:
- command used to promote users use <player> for player and <rank> for rank.
promote_command: /manuadd <player> <rank>
db_config:
- MySQL or SQLite
db_driver: 'SQLite'
- Db Host Address (leave blank for SQLite)
db_host: ''
- Db port number (leave blank for SQLite)
db_port: ''
- db username (leave blank for SQLite)
db_user: ''
- db password
db_password: ''
- name of database
db_name: 'votes'
- database prefix (leave blank for SQLite)
db_prefix: ''
- debug messages (leave blank for SQLite)

Posted Jun 20, 2013loving this so far any way to make it remove ranks also like say they go 5 days or so without voting it could remove the rank
example: then i could add subgroups for voters to go along with my donor groups making the plug-in able to add and remove voter groups without messing with my donor groups

Yes it should be compatible with other listeners also this listener is a full fledged plugin.

you do not need to know mysql all you need to do is create a backup.yml with the format say if i have 50 votes
WinWizard:50
then save that in the plug dir and do /vpro restore
also it can use any permissions plugin as it uses a user specified command and user specified groups (also the config uses group manager commands by default)

Posted Jun 7, 2013I'm a noob at votifier, honestly, but I have it set up but can I just drop the listener in and configure it? Because I don't know how to set up a MySQL or whatever it's called. And I have Permissionsex, will that work or do I need groupmanager?

You could make a new group within GroupManager that gives them standard powers, but with a new prefix.

what server version do you use? do you have votifier installed?
Edit: Try updating your java runtime to the latest version.
