What is Vampire?
With this plugin anyone can become a vampire, but do you want to? During daytime vampires cower from sunlight. During the night the humans reach for their holy water and wooden stakes as the vampires roam the lands with inhuman strength, speed and levitation-powers. Driven by their endless bloodlust, they devour all living in their way. Vampires...
- are destroyed by sunlight.
- are extremely vulnerable to wood and holy water.
- spreads the dark disease through combat and their own blood.
- kill and drink blood instead of eating food.
- regenerate health quickly at the expense of food-level.
- won’t be attacked by monsters unless the vampire attacks first.
- take no fall- or suffocation-damage.
- have stationary food level unless in bloodlust mode.
- move faster, jump higher and damage more with bloodlust.
Install
- Stop your server.
- Put MassiveCore.jar in your plugins folder. Download MassiveCore here on BukkitDev.
- Put Vampire.jar in your plugins folder.
- Start your server again.

Posted Dec 25, 2012Hi! I'd love to run this, but it doesn't seem to even create a folder after stop/start of server... I'm running CB 1.4.6 Beta... any ideas on what to try to get this working? THanks so much for your time and effort and happy holidays!

when doing /v set v yes [player], I get converted to vamp but also "An internal server error has occurred" message. I take it, vamp powers still don't work without Spout?
Running 1.4.5 on bukkit 1.4.5-R02, using the vamp update you just posted

Well, I'm glad others are having the same issue and it isn't just me. I also placed a sign that sells glowstone until there is an update, which is likely the issue.
Also, I had an interesting conversation about perhaps adding some benefits from using Light Altars as a human (such as resistance to infection for a day) and benefits from using Dark Altars as a vampire (such as sun resistance for a day).

Our server does too. Although I'm not sure if it has to do with this plugin. Either way, I just put a sign that trades glowstone for dust just to counter it.

Posted Dec 11, 2012My server has been having issues with breaking glowstone blocks after installing this plugin. Glowstone drops blocks when broken, as if using a Silk Touch pick, instead of dropping glowstone dust. Is anyone else having this problem?

Your craftbukkit is 1.2.5, which is outdated. Depending on your client version, you should download a similar bukkit version. I would recommend http://dl.bukkit.org/latest-beta/craftbukkit-beta.jar You will need to update your client to 1.4 for it to work.

Posted Dec 9, 2012Hello. I have downloaded what I believe are the correct versions for the vampire plugin and the mcore plugin. However when I run my server it tells me that there was an unknown issue when starting the vampire plugin. Could someone tell me which are the correct two that I would need? or if there is something else that I need to do?
I am running CraftBukkit version git-Bukkit-jenkins-CraftBukkit-173 (MC: 1.2.5) (Implementing API version 1.2.5-R4.1-MCPC-SNAPSHOT) That is what it tells me when I do /version. I may need to update my CrafBukkit version, but am unsure how. any help would be awesome!

I will update MCore when I update MassiveCraft. That may take a couple of weeks at most.

You can use the config to hand out permission nodes used by some chat plugin? Name colorization is the only thing used right now that's built into the plugin.
