UVLightmeter

Welcome to UVLightmeter! This plugin adds a Portable Light Meter craftable item, which allows your players to measure the light level above any block they click, so they can survey their structures for lighting issues!

Using The Portable Light Meter

The Portable Light Meter looks (currently) like a wooden sword. Right clicking a nearby block will output the light level above that block to your chat pane. Each Portable Light Meter has 100 charges. They are not repairable.

The Portable Light Meter has Lore text that briefly explains its use as well.

What's the Light Level Mean?

Light Levels range from 0 (pitch black) to 15 (full light). Generally, mobs can spawn in light level 7 or lower.

How to Craft It

Combine a Redstone Comparator, a Daylight Detector, and a Stick in any arrangement. (This means you don't require a Crafting Table, you can craft it in the Crafting box of your inventory!)

  • uvlightmeter.admin - gives admin privs. given to ops by default
  • uvlightmeter.craft - allows players to craft the Portable Light Meter. default: true
