UnRealMOTD
UnRealMOTD
Revamping!
As you can tell with there not being any updates at all, I have left the project for quite some time now. But I have decided to return to this and revamp it. If you have a feature that you would like to see, leave a ticket, and I will add it to my list. Thanks!
Introduction:
UnRealMOTD allows server admins to change the MOTD shown when a player sees your server MOTD at the multilayer screen. You can set it easily and supports all of the colour codes such as &6 and &l.
Commands:
/urmotd - The main help command.
/urmotd check - Check the current MOTD showing.
/urmotd set <MOTD> - Sets the MOTD.
/urmotd preview <MOTD> - Preview a MOTD before you set it.
Permissions:
motd.help - Allows user to use the /motd command.
motd.check - Allows user to use the /motd check command.
motd.set - Allows user to use the /motd set <MOTD> command.
motd.preview - Allows user to use the /motd preview <MOTD> command.
motd.notifychange - Sends a message to all on-line users with the permission node telling them who changed the MOTD to what. It also prints it out to the console.
Set-Up:
1. Drag and drop the plugin into your plugins folder.
2. Restart/reload server.
3. Done!
Configuration:
This plugin supports ALL the colour codes. Get them here: http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Formatting_codes
Example: &6Server MOTD in gold!
To configure the plugin, simply go inside the config.yml in the UnRealMOTD folder in your plugins folder, and edit to fit your needs. Or, once the plugin is loaded, you can log into your server and change the MOTD with the /urmotd set <MOTD> command.
TO-DO:
- Add auto updater
- Add multi line support

Posted Dec 17, 2013I have an idea for it being 1.7.2+
Since there are 2 lines od MOTD, maybe you can make it so you do like: /urmotd set1 <message> /urmotd set2 <message>
Set1 would set the first line Set2 Would set the sending line
Thanks -Black

How it works is when someone changes the motd, it will stay like that and every time someone refreshes there server list, the mots will be the one that you set.

Posted May 6, 2013You say that the motd changes every time someone adds the server to their list.
Does that mean that if a friend adds it that it will change? It works fine for displaying the motd with color but how does it change like you say it does?
