I never understood why you can't get glass back when you break it and so I started coding a plugin which is able to do exactly this: You get the glass or glass pane back if you break it!
Everytime if you want to break a glass or a glass pane instead of breaking you get the glass or glass pane back!

That's what silk touch enchant is for. :)
I'm sure people will want this for their servers so it just works that way but thought I'd tell you about silk touch in case you didn't know.
