Introduction

Play Poker and Blackjack in Minecraft!

This is a plugin that allows you to play sleek, automated card games, in Minecraft. It is an extremely easy to use plugin, and very convenient for users. It includes some cunning features, such as on-screen GUI (without any additional client mods or spout!), extensive configuration and customization, and more. It currently has support for Texas Hold'em Poker and Blackjack.

The only requirements for this plugin are:

Vault
An economy system supported by Vault, doesn't matter which. Tested on iConomy 6.

This plugin sends anonymous usage data (such as amount of players currently on your server) to http://mcstats.org/plugin/UltimateCards. No server can be identified, usage reports are fully anonymous. You can opt-out in plugins/PluginMetrics/config.yml on your server directory (set opt-out to true).

An auto-update feature also exists. If you do not wish for the plugin to check for and automatically download updates, you can opt-out in plugins/UltimateCards/config.yml on your server directory (set autoUpdate to false).

Fixed Null Pointer Exceptions when trying to join saved tables
Fixed an internal server error when playing at a BJ table owned by the server

Sorry for the slow development guys, I just don't have much time for this anymore. Let me know if there's still any issues.

im having the issue that when I try to join a table it says an error occured: null is this the same issue as your having?

Version 1.3.5

Fixed all permissions
New table settings (poker and blackjack):
autoKickOnLeave - set to true if players who leave the table should be kicked immediately
leaveLocation - the location to which the player should be teleported after leaving the table
New config settings:
disableCommandsWhilePlaying - set to true if the plugin should prevent players from using any commands while at a table (except, of course, table commands)
preventMovementOutsideChatRange - set to true if the plugin should prevent players from moving too far away from the table. The value of this is taken from the publicChatRange settings
autoKickOnLeave and leaveLocation under the general default table settings
Fixed a display bug caused by disabling the turn timer (You have 0 seconds to act)
Added a message when cancelling drop and click inventory events for maps
Added a message when a map is dropped in front of a player due to a full inventory
Made it so that flops, turns and rivers only display the latest card(s) added, rather than the full board
Removed the total in pots message during preflop
Removed player IDs from being displayed in /poker pot (not needed anymore as a result of automatic hand evaluation)

Note: Unless there are critical bugs to fix, I will not be doing any more feature updates for this plugin. It was never a well-designed plugin to begin with, as it was my first ever real project in Java programming. Hence, the code has reached the stage where it is completely unmaintainable. I am also moving on to bigger things than free plugin development, and therefore do not have the time to do a much-needed complete rewrite.

I will still always be actively watching, and definitely try to fix any major bugs that pop up :) For now, I feel that I have reached the stage where the plugin is stable and feature-packed enough for me to leave it be.

C/O means that's my graduating year, I'll be attending in the fall. :)

Spigot is almost precisely the same as CB, they intentionally went for very few API changes. Just check it out, and try the IRC as well if you need to. Very helpful crowd. If you update it to 1.8 I'd say you'll be free and clear of anything else for a while.

I think 1.7.2's version will work well enough anyway if you update the perms, it's just nice to have things tested and shiny and whatnot. :)

2018? Seems like a long time away :P Congratulations! I'm currently during the nerve-wrecking period of waiting for my Cambridge reply :S

I may look into Spigot in the future. I will also try to fix those permissions for you but it'll have to be for the Bukkit version which the plugin is currently on (CB 1.7.2-R0.3).

I am unsure whether there is any point in updating this plugin any more. Bukkit is dead - I can't even download the new craftbukkit version anymore...

Maybe once things settle down I'll rewrite the plugin for Spigot or Sponge, depending on what the next "norm" is.
