To run this plugin with Spigot 1.8 you will need the latest version of uCars and the latest version of Spigotmc's updated Protocollib. The 1.8 compatible ProtocolLib can be downloaded from http://ci.shadowvolt.com/job/ProtocolLib/ (courtesy of http://spigotmc.org )! The newest version of uCars can be downloaded from https://stormdev.org/jenkins/

uCars is a bukkit car plugin with lots of optional, awesome extra features. For more info on this plugin, read about the plugin below! uCars is cars in minecraft. It is made by the stormdev team. Happy driving in your cars! (Yes cars, cars, cars, cars, cars! You really can drive cars with this plugin! If you want your cars to be craftable, upgradeable,etc... Then also download uCarsTrade; if you just want super smooth cars with an extensive API then just download this car plugin! (You may also consider downloading the MarioKart addon if yours if a minigame server))
uCars is an incredibly versatile, seamless car plugin for Minecraft. It offers players the chance to drive around in Minecarts smoothly as if they were part of the game.

Just look where you want to go, press 'w' to go in that direction, 's' to go backwards, 'd' to brake and 'a' to use any other enabled functions(eg. Turrets)! :D (Shift to exit vehicle)

I know that everybody knows about and is probably very excited about the new 1.7.2 Bukkit builds (I am too) and hoping for a 1.7.2 version of uCars. Well please be patient. There is no full release yet as we are currently waiting for Bukkit to fully update.
BUT there is a simple way to get this to work with 1.7.2 on your server. Here's how:

This is a permissions plugin issue. Make sure the permission is ucars.cars and other than that you need to consult the Developer of the permission plugin.

All players that can drive cars need the permission ucars.cars, it is mentioned above. The licenses is just an extra thing on top of that system.

Posted Nov 26, 2013hi, i'm just confused on one thing. when my friend was on the server. i spawned a car for him and he got in. and he got a message saying he needed permission to drive.
now this is odd because i dont have licenses enabled and i dont see anything on this page about a permission for being able to drive a Ucar.
