To run this plugin with Spigot 1.8 you will need the latest version of uCars and the latest version of Spigotmc's updated Protocollib. The 1.8 compatible ProtocolLib can be downloaded from http://ci.shadowvolt.com/job/ProtocolLib/ (courtesy of http://spigotmc.org )! The newest version of uCars can be downloaded from https://stormdev.org/jenkins/

Summary

uCars is a bukkit car plugin with lots of optional, awesome extra features. For more info on this plugin, read about the plugin below! uCars is cars in minecraft. It is made by the stormdev team. Happy driving in your cars! (Yes cars, cars, cars, cars, cars! You really can drive cars with this plugin! If you want your cars to be craftable, upgradeable,etc... Then also download uCarsTrade; if you just want super smooth cars with an extensive API then just download this car plugin! (You may also consider downloading the MarioKart addon if yours if a minigame server))

uCars is an incredibly versatile, seamless car plugin for Minecraft. It offers players the chance to drive around in Minecarts smoothly as if they were part of the game.

uCars also comes with many other optional cool addons to make driving that bit more fun!

I installed the Protocolib and got this error every time start server.

Your error is definitely a java version mismatch. This should have been fixed in v10 but, as it's still persisting, try a full uninstall of all java on your system and then a reinstall of java's latest jre. The. Make sure that it is the new jre on the system PATH and used by your server. @JaackMC

Try a different craftbukkit build. Also try /reload, or fully restarting your server. (Are you using ucars v10.1?) and basically reinstalling all of ucars and protocolLib. It will work eventually!

Mine is the same config as mola, I didn't check my log for any errors though

I tried, i did the last update of Java 7, and i have always this error. And i never used uCars, it's the first time.

Check your config, latest bukkit build and also java version.

Have you used ucars on that computer before? If not, then update your java!

Okay, ucars v10.1 will be out soon for minecraft 1.6 and above. Only change is a dependency for ProtocolLib and possibly no more support for strafing ('A' & 'D' keys). Lets race those horses! :D

It thought it would be nice to mention this as I previously asked you a question about steering in Minecraft 1.6.*. I actually found a way to access the steeringdata. Using protocollib you can read a packet which sends data about steering (see code below). It gives 2 floats: "forwards" and "sideways". Forwards is either 0.98 (forward), 0 (idle) or -0.98 (backwards), while sideways can be 0.98 (left), 0 (idle) or -0.98 (right).

Perhaps you already implemented another way of steering, but using this feature I got a quite satisfied way of steering a minecart in MC 1.6 using the (default) WASD keys.

@storm345 I was wondering about uCars for 1.6. I have been developing a same kind of plugin (although private for a themepark server I run) and I am experiencing the same error as you do.

"Also expect the 1.6 ucars to have a slightly different control scheme because of annoying changes to entity passenger velocities in mc1.6 (hopefully a bug fixed in 1.6.2-probably not)."

I was wondering how to created a workaround for this? Did you find a good workaround for it or did you just change it into something like "click for direction" like navigation?
