The Hunger Games was both a great book, and a decent movie (though it did fall short of the book, but what movie doesn't?), so I've (with a lot of help from others) put together a plugin that tries to replicate that experience. It is nowhere near done, but what I have so far is playable, and you can hopefully see where I intend this to go.

The Simple Game:
/tsg start hg <time in seconds>: Starts a game /tsg start hg 120
/tsg join: Join the started game
/tsg sign: Place a sign, enter this command, then click it
The Config:
devtag: Whether or not I get a little [TSGDev] tag with my name when I join your server
award_prizes: Whether or not to give players prizes if they win
clearplayerinventory: Whether or not players should have to have an empy inventory to join (not enabled)
can_build: Whether building in the game world is blocked or not
build_walls: Whether to limit the arena size or not
immune_period: How long players are immune at the start of the games
arena_size: Size of the arena per player, +50, +100, +150 respectively
use_economy: Whether or not to pay players for wins/bets/sponsorships with economy money (not enabled)
sponsor_money_item: Item that represents money if not economy (not enabled)
money_name: What the plugin should call the currency in its player messages (not enabled)
sponsor_cost_multiplier: By how much the sponsor should be upcharged (not enabled)
allowed_sponsor_items: Items allowed to be sent to players from sponsors (not enabled)
remove-op: Whether or not to de-op players in the games if they're op, op status is re-added after the games.

- "/tsg auto ffa <time>" - makes the games automatically restart whenever they end, with the wait time given
Sorry, the help menu is very wrong right now, completely spaced fixing it. :(

Posted Jul 6, 2012Sorry for the inaccurate complaint, but there are some severe issues with multiverse and tsg working on the same server. The error says Could not pass even PlayerTeleportEvent to Multiverse-Core. Do you want the whole stacktrace, it talks about spout as well.? Would be good if that could be resolved...

Posted Jul 5, 2012@CobraBoyFR If you reload your server using the /reload command the config will be generated, when it is you'll find and "award_prizes" option, set it to false.

We're going to make several language packs in the future. Maybe you could help make sure our French is accurate. About the config.yml, that problem has been reported and will be fixed in the next release.

i had that problem as well i use pex for permissions and made a world permissions for the world i use for the games and added the negative perm - - alphachest.chest

So far at least MultiHome and VirtualChest (GiftPost) work for spectators. I can post more later when we get more users online to test it out. Blocking Alpha/VirtualChest would be the only ones we really care about. Also maybe ChestShop so users can't somehow cheat with shops. Thanks again.

Posted Jul 1, 2012@Assertive Spectator commands should be blocked, the problem is that the way it's done can be ignored by other plugins. What plugins/commands can they access?

Great. Also apparently spectators can use certain commands (like access VirtualChest) and they're helping players cheat. Blocking spectator commands would be sweet too. Thanks for the quick responses!

Posted Jul 1, 2012@Assertive In the bukkit dev version I handle chat in a way that makes that happen, so it's not a bug it's a feature. You can rest assured though, that this is fixed in the next update, coming out this week!

Posted Jul 1, 2012Having a weird issue with HeroChat. During a game, all channels are visible to all users whether they are in the games or not. Once the game is over, chat is back to normal. No exceptions or anything for you, got any ideas?
Edit: it's basically like they have all HeroChat permissions so they can VIEW all chats, however, they cannot speak or join channels unless they have that specific permission node.

The latest alpha version, if it doesn't already have it, will soon have a feature where you can prebuild or use another persons map, and then place signs around the world specifying things like where the cornucopia should be, where players will spawn in, and in the futures, where random chests and houses will be. After you use this map in a game, it will automatically revert and can be used again. See here for details on the signs.
