TribesNextDoor

TribesNextDoor
TribesNextDoor is my light(er)-weight replacement for Towny. We used Towny on our server for quite some time and we constantly had problems and the main problem with it was that it had half a tonne of features we didn't use/need/want.
TribesNextDoor provides simpler management of areas along with many other useful features. Some of the features include: - Tribe area management (managed in chunks) - Tribe tp (so you can tp to people in your tribe) - Tribe chat (so you can talk to people in your tribe) - Compatible economy with my other plugin GoldWallet - Backup command (To backup your precious tribe data)
I spent 2 weeks making the plugin initially, but it has constantly evolved since then. The way i have done things in the code, i have made it more efficient and user friendly. I hope that everyone who uses the plugin finds it as good as we have thus far.
It is still a rather new plugin and so problems may still occur, but hopefully by releasing this plugin to the public, we may be able to track down more bugs and we can fix them (and by we can fix them, i mean i can fix them (unless ofcourse you want to do a PR on github)),

What do you mean? Blocks placed in claimed areas are only destroyable by members of that tribe. Likewise goes with placing. You cant place a block in a claimed tribe that you arent in (unless you are OP/have the correct perms)

Posted Sep 19, 2012@Lazy_Arbiter, Ok thanks, also would you ever consider making a small system to protect the blocks that are placed in "claimed" tribe areas ?

Wow, another command i missed off.
/t delete if you are the tribe chief
There is another command for staff, but i don't want to promote the use of them just yet since i have recently recoded them to work nicer. But it will be in the next version
Or you could manually go into the TribeData.yml delete the tribe then restart the server.

Posted Sep 18, 2012Very cool plugin! but how do you completely remove a tribe ? Do you just delete it on the server side " from the .txt files" ?

Link for gold wallet is here: http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/goldwallettheguynextdoor/ It should work with 1.3.1, seeing as my server uses it. But if it does not work then simply tell me and i will make it work

Posted Aug 9, 2012A preview of the idea for us newbs would help. I understand that it makes a village but what exactly goes on? I want to know so I can figure out if it's worth the hassle of installing the mod.

Haha, terribly sorry. The command is /t new TribeName ChiefName
So put into context, say i wanted a new tribe called GuyTribe. The command would be:
/t new GuyTribe theguynextdoor

As someone whose main plugin works with Vault, I highly suggest hooking into it. It works wonderfully (most of the time) and isn't hard to use.

Currently it does not support any economy besides the one i made. The reason for this is because this plugin was originally a private plugin on the server i am a dev for, and we use GoldWallet as our economy system. I can look into supporting other economy plugins in the future (i may look into Vault to handle all that). But at the current stage, only gold wallet is supported.

I would like to say, thank you first, for taking interest. But i would like to mention that the use of gold wallet is optional in the config. In fact, it is disabled by default. Although i am glad you would be open to the use of it if it was compulsory.
