TreasureFinder
TreasureFinder
Created by HiROs15/DividedByZero.Who are the developers?
The developers of this plugin are HiROs15 and DividedByZero. Together we make up the development team called Nova Development. The Nova development team works together on creating very unique plugins for bukkit and we also update plugins that are out of date. If you need any plugin updated, as long as it is open source our team will get right to work on it on request. What is TreasureFinder?
TreasureFinder is a plugin that rewards users for playing legit survival. When your members are out mining, they might run into a chest that appears randomly and has items in it. You can configure what items are in an infinite amount of chests, How rare items are in each chest, How rare treasure chests are to encounter, and last but not least you can configure what messages the users see when they find treasure. Basicly everything that the Nova Development team creates has an extreme amount of customization involved in it.Getting Started
The plugin works pretty much right out of the box. But they're are a few configurations you need to setup. First you need to setup the chest configruations.Below is an example of a chest configuration.
enabled: true
chests: 2
data:
0:
- DIAMOND:64
- DIAMOND_SHOVEL:1
1:
- GOLD_INGOT:5
That is the format for the chests.yml file. Make sure that you have everything setup that way or the plugin may throw errors.

Posted Feb 11, 2014What does the displayMessage config do?
I set both joinMessage and displayMessage to false, however the plugin still advertises itself at login. Please don't include this kind of thing in plugins, no one wants it, especially when it can't even be disabled.

Sent a PM! Thanks for the consideration!
Also, a question. When you say a chest is found randomly, does that mean there is an "x" chance of a loot-chest appearing after you mine "y" type of block? (e.g. there is a .01% chance that mining stone causes a lootchest to take its place)

This is HiROs15 bukkit account. We are the developers of the nova plugins. I will change my name to prevent confusion.

Posted Jan 21, 2014Not related to the plugin, but I'm confused concerning who the developers are. If it's made by "HiROs15" and "DividedByZero", why is it posted by "alphaks12"?
Also, concerning the offer for updating open sourced plugins, I'm interested in contacting these fine folks. :)
Oh, right, the plugin itself. I have a suggestion for it. Perhaps you could right click chests spawned by this plugin, which makes the chest itself disappear, and all the items pop out. That way, there's less "leftover chests" in the world, in the case that someone isn't interested in breaking the chest too. If they try to break the chest, the chest itself won't drop, but all the contents will.
