TitanChat
Overview
Overview
TitanChat is a chat management and formatting plugin, its high flexibility is what makes it special. Instead of having a large bulk of hardcoded supports for other plugins, an addon system was implemented so that addons, custom channels and external commands can be coded to support other plugins and add new features. The built in commands in TitanChat help make your chat management task easier. Channels can also be disabled to have your old global Minecraft chat, but giving you more control over chat.

Currently busy with school, but v5.0.0 is still being worked on.
12.08.13
12.08.13
TitanChat v4.1.0 will be the latest until the rewrite is completed to release v5.0.0. This rewrite is started due to the messiness of adding new features and functions, even though v4.0 should have improved it a lot. This should not be an impact to users since this is not a usage change, although the command system will be overhauled to become easier to understand. Sorry in advance for the lack of releases for the time being, and thank you in advance for your understanding.

Yes i have that permission node.
About the channels: i thought one of the plugin's features was that you could restrict channel access by setting
- TitanChat.access.name
- TitanChat.follow.name
- TitanChat.spawn.name
I basically want to have 3 seperate channels for three player groups (failnoob, guest and the remaining players), where none of them can join or write/read other channel's chat messages.

Have you updated your permission node to TitanChat.staff?
Public channels are always available to all, unless they are banned.

Sorry, already been there and on all other pages.
The plugin now loads fine, but this time i can't join the Staff channel while i have the required permission nodes. I'm also able to list/join more channels than i'm intended to if i join the server as a guest :-/ (both Default and Public, instead of Default only)
This while the docs are straight-forward and dead-simple to understand.. (i'm using bPermissions)

Posted May 26, 2012Thanks, this is great! If only i understood how to get those prefix/suffix permissions working. Also, the plugin refuses to load because it says that no default channel has been defined. This while one of the channels that i have has type: default :S

Yes, yes it would. But please remember to register the exact permissions in the config.yml of TitanChat.

Posted May 14, 2012Ok, thanks for the answer.
There's only one problem... i can't de-/promote any players.
Whenever i do so it says the channel doesn't exist, while it does (i also have the permission node TitanChat.admin) :-/
edit: hmm, now it says the player i try to de-/promote isn't online o_O It also said that the named person wasn't an Admin.
I'm not sure what's going on but it confuses the hell out of me..
update: I believe the problem lays within my TitanChat config's permissions area (don't quite get it).

You can set all channels to private and give them TitanChat.access.[channelname] to only let them in specific channels, but there must be one default channel and it can't be private, or what you want is absolutely perfect.

Posted May 12, 2012Is it possible to force/set players/groups to a specific channel they can't leave/switch from and/or deny access to non-passworded/hidden channels, using permission nodes?
(tried HeroChat but had no luck with it @ bPermissions)
