TerrainControl is an advanced world generator. Through various configuration files it gives the user control over almost every aspect of Minecraft terrain generation, with no knowledge of Java required. It can be used on Bukkit or Forge servers and on singleplayer with Forge. TerrainControl is the successor to the old PhoenixTerrainMod, which was based on the popular BiomeTerrainMod.

Metrics
As of Terrain Control 2.4.13, the plugin sends some stats to mcstats.org, a service by Hidendra and others. You can view the stats here. Terrain Control won't upload your configs, it will only send your BiomeMode along with some information of your computer. You can toggle it off by setting opt-out to true in the metrics config file. More information is available on this wiki page.

How to use

TerrainControl is more complex than most Bukkit plugins, so it may take a while to get into - but the results are worth it. If you want to create your own world, be sure to check our documentation. If you have done some reading and still have problems using TerrainControl, just post to our forums and we'll try to figure it out.

Posted Mar 8, 2012I think maybe he means that you cant use the generator to generate blocks above the clouds?
Which reminds me, Khoorn, once that issue is fixed, is it possible for TC to be able to adjust the cloud height? (like sea level)

Posted Mar 7, 2012Hi,
why should 256 block height not work ???
As I told yesterday, in my setup building works perfect up till 256.
I use the Dev2.1.0 build of TC, MC 1.2.3 and the very last bukkit (craftbukkit-1.2.3-R0.2-20120308.050840-4).
It works in new worlds and in old worlds (which will be automatic converted while loading).
If I can build up till 256, it works ... or not ? ...and I can build up till 256 for sure, here a screen:
Am I work with somthing or what are You talking about???

PS: WorldBorder is available updated and working too:

Thanks for the update!
Is there anywhere we can post to help ask Bukkit to prioritize the 256 block fix?
HOWEVER - I'm happy for the stable TC without 256 blocks. I'm working on a previously generated map right now, and would just LOVE to get TC back up and running, even if we can't make new big biomes.
Can we get a updated / stable release soon, and then another when Bukkit gets their act together?
Much obliged!

We don't have a 1.2.3 TC mod at all yet. But yeah, a bukkit limitation is keeping them from doing the increased height. I still don't get why a beta version hasn't been released yet.

Posted Mar 7, 2012Hi,
additional I want to tell a little "OFF TOPIC" (sorry), that I found / use a dev version of one of the first server (bukkit) Mods I really need => ESSENTIALS:
Essentials_Development_Build_2.9.36
It works without errors at my setup, only the EssentialsXMPP.jar didn´t, so I don´t use/need it.
Link will be (hard) to find, but here the direct LINK to the file. ;-)

Ahh I misunderstood You...
I asked Olof one hour ago if I can post it, even if I´m "allowed" to mention my positive testing..., but didn´t get any anwer till now.
So I only decided, to tell all the waiting people here that it is working perfect and everybody can gladly get it soon I think.
At the moment, I don´t know if Khoorn and Olof want / allow to put out the dev version.
So I stay away from doing it.
But...to download the Files from the Repository and compile it should give the same jar as far as I know.

I mean the jar for 1.2 version of TerrainControl. Or did you just take the code and update the plugin with it?

Hi,
yes vines are (and have been) in.
You have to use the second values too: south, north, west, east).
I have no jar, the jar has always been untouched.
... and, it´s not my work, it´s from: http://faskerstudio.com/minecraft/BBOB
I changed only the BlockID list and the regarding block images.

Posted Mar 7, 2012Hi,
Olof and Khoorn, You are genious :-)
I´ve tested the TC-Mod dev 2.1.0 Version now with MC 1.2.3 and the newest bukkit version using everything:
New world(s), my old worlds, new configs, my old configs ... and the in my eyes by far the most important MC-Mods:
TMI, Zombe, MiniMap, Modloader, Audiomod and WaterShader
Everything without any errors and 100% perfect in MC 1.2.3 with the last craftbukkit-1.2.3-R0.2-20120305.203110-3 version now.
Even the building height works up till 256 ;-))
All new Blocks are working too and so on.
I think TC is again nearly to 100% PERFECT now, as far as I could see / test it.
Thanks a lot for doing this TOP-JOB again and present us all the by far very best Mod of all Bukkit-Mods.
One very, very small thing I can give / offer to all is an updated version of the BetterBOB Tool.
I added new blocks and some of the former missed stuff like flowing lava and water and so on.
(If someone still misses a block or something else, just tell me and I try to update the download files)
Here the LINK.
(Just download and put the files in the BetterBOB folder by overwriting the old ones. But don´t forget to make a save file before !!!)

Posted Mar 7, 2012"Hey guys, Khoorn has a life too you know. And he more than likely lives somewhere else than you."
Sure, i dont think anybody was unhappy because it takes some time. :) I just said i thought i read somewhere something.
I love the Plugin, so i tested through the Files i Found. Nothing wrong with that. Anyway, Iam still impressed how the Plugin authos find the Time to maintain such Awesome Plugins. So the last thing i would want is to Bug an Author. If they need time, i would let my Users on the Server wait a couple more Weeks.
Anyway, i am looking forward to the New version, because i have lots of Ideas for my World.
