TerrainControl is an advanced world generator. Through various configuration files it gives the user control over almost every aspect of Minecraft terrain generation, with no knowledge of Java required. It can be used on Bukkit or Forge servers and on singleplayer with Forge. TerrainControl is the successor to the old PhoenixTerrainMod, which was based on the popular BiomeTerrainMod.

Metrics
As of Terrain Control 2.4.13, the plugin sends some stats to mcstats.org, a service by Hidendra and others. You can view the stats here. Terrain Control won't upload your configs, it will only send your BiomeMode along with some information of your computer. You can toggle it off by setting opt-out to true in the metrics config file. How to use

TerrainControl is more complex than most Bukkit plugins, so it may take a while to get into - but the results are worth it. If you want to create your own world, be sure to check our documentation. If you have done some reading and still have problems using TerrainControl, just post to our forums and we'll try to figure it out.

Downloads

You'll always find the newest approved stable builds here. As of 2.4, the files will work on both Bukkit and Forge servers (without the need of something like MCPC+) and on singleplayer with Forge. Installation instructions can be found here.
Development builds of this project can be acquired at the provided continuous integration server. These builds have not been approved by the BukkitDev staff. Use them at your own risk.

If I want to start the server, an error occurred. When I disable TerrainControl the server works fine.

looks good Your floating Islands.
And after a long time, one finite shows his world by images ;-)
(Would be nice to see here more world images from some other people too....as I`m still waiting on for a long time.)
If You want a more montain like floating landmass like this:

To change the size of the biomes and which bo2´s will spawn in which biome and its quantity and so on, should be easy adapted by Yourself with Your skills already ;-)

Over the past two days I've been working on a new world for my players and I to have fun on. It will be floating islands over a shallow sea, if I can ever get it to work the way I want to. I'm having trouble getting mountains to generate on the islands...
So far I've only tweaked the CustomHeightControl and a few other land-related values... here are a couple screen shots:

I`ve talked to Khoorn and some others and took myself too some time now to think about the roots of my disappointment.
As I told before, it was caused by very few persons, who tried to delude myself by ordering custom-worlds (to create it required many hours of my time), but not keeping their promises after all.
These worlds are offered now as a Freebie to download and use for everybody who wants.

Attention: This are NOT the worlds, which are shown at this Webpage too !
So at the end, the negative attitude of a few may result in a benefit for the community ;-)

Posted Feb 23, 2012I know it's possible to generate custom mod ores by using something like this (Emerald from RedPower, BlockID 120, Meta 1):
Ore(120.1,4,20,100,0,64,STONE)
Which if I'm understanding correctly, will attempt to place 20 clusters between 0y and 64y, with a 100% chance in each chunk. Each cluster being 4 ores.
However, how would one go about planting the custom mod plants, such as Rubber trees from RedPower or Industrial Craft? I know that RP Rubber tree saplings are ID:119/Meta:1
I suppose the RedPower trees could just be done as BO2s - but the IC rubber trees have some kind of additional coding, because only trees grown from saplings will produce sticky resin holes for taping. If you just simply place a bunch of IC Rubber Tree wood blocks, that doesn't happen. However placing them and hitting them with bone meal produces the correct result.

Hi,
I just want to generate a Nether-like world with TC. So, a giant cave with no sky. It's the base I want ;) The hell biome is not what I need, I really need to generate a Nether copy with TC to be able to change some settings as I want.
Another question, I'm trying to alternate biomes in my world but it does'nt works... I have 3 biomes and I want :
60% Biome 1 30% Biome 2 10% Biome3 (aproximatively)
I'm trying to change biome size and biome rarity but it does'nt seems to change when I /tc map...

Posted Feb 23, 2012What is the right way generate world via Multiverse? I mean when I generate certain world first time it create TC default config which I want customise. Should I change confs -> stop server -> delete old world -> start server? Or... What is the right way?

Posted Feb 23, 2012Im sorry, i have been and will stay a supporter of this plugin as its vary nice however i needed just a bit more control over my land in minecraft to get it just the way i want so i have had to move to a program called world painter, rather than this plugin.
keep up the good work though this plugin is great for people who want a bit more control over there worlds :)
ill still pop in to see how this plugin is going and to look for new bo2 files.

Solution for a Nether-Style (!!!) world created with the TC-Mod?
Yes I have.
Solution for changing a pure Nether World (the nether world folder) with TC-Mod ... no way as far as I know.
You see, asking the much more detailed way in the future, will be the premise to be better helped at all...;-(

I´m glad that You get Your map done (and even more that it happend by Yourself).
To help here and there is the one thing, and okay for sure...
... but being requested by someone to create maps for him who has been told clearly that this many hours of work can´t be done without even a little approval in form of a little donation for me and Khoorn...is an other negative side.
This results in closing down more and more things.
The main goal for instance with the Tutorial is, to help a little to teach "how to fish" and not "giving the fish for free", the latter will be always the poorer way.
Only the lazy and bold ones demand this for free.
The studious one like You are bussy to learn and do it themself, the very best way not only because this shows too how time consuming it is.
I´m facing now a more restrictiv and this way too a less laborious time now. ;-)
