"My initial opinion of having my own server was that players would get along. Boy, was I wrong. Only 2 days after my server's release, I already had 7 players who duped Gem Armor and blew up spawn about a trillion times. After setting gem armor to a certain rank, they then torched my spawn. After disabling most of EE until a certain playtime rank, they then found their own way around my disabling plugin. (noitem)

Features
Crash Prevention
- Prevention of certain server crashing Tekkit Classic problems, like REP's in a deployer
Ban Items and Blocks
- Ban items and blocks from vanilla Minecraft AND from any mod installed.
- Customizable messages for why something is banned (v1.19+)
Limiter
- Limit the amount a player can place of a specific kind of block.
Limited Creative
- Prevent the use (left/rightclick) of certain items in creative.
- Make players unable to move valuable items over from creative to survival.
- Prevent interaction with other inventories in creative.
- Prevent the dropping of items in creative.
Limited Interacts
- Disable the right/left clicking with items.
- Highly customizable: Prevent clicking on a block/in the air/in safezones.
SafeZones
- De-charge EE "Tools" upon entering a marked SafeZone.
- Remove most entities in SafeZones. (not including dropped items, vehicles, players, etc.)
- Force Ring of Arcana into "Earth" mode to prevent griefing.
- Advanced integration with WorldGuard and GriefPrevention to mark all regions or specific ones as safezones.
- Basic integration with Towny, Factions and PreciousStones to mark all regions as safezones.
Smelting/Crafting
- Remove smelting recipes
- Remove crafting recipes
- Prevent the crafting of banned items and warn players so they don't waste ingredients.
- As of v1.19, Tekkit Restrict can prevent crafting of banned items in ALL crafting tables, including project tables and automatic crafting tables, by integrating with forge.
Max EU
- Set the maximum EU charge Electrical IC2 items can hold.
- Change the speed at which Electrical IC2 items charge at.
EMC Value Changer
- Set, change or remove EMC values from any item or block.
Anti-Dupes
- Ability to set a command that will be executed after someone has duped x amount of times.
- Anti-Dupes for:
- RM Furnace Dupes
- Alchemy Bag + Void Ring/Black Hole Band Dupes
- Transmutation Table + Klein Star Dupes
- Tank Cart Dupes
- Teleportation Dupe
- Project Table + 2 players Dupe
- Automatic Crafting Table Mk. 2 + Mining Laser/Mining Turtle/BlockBreaker Dupes
Anti-Hacks
- Ability to set a command that will be executed after someone has hacked x amount of times.
- Anti-Hacks for:
- Speed Hacks
- Fly Hacks
- Forcefield Hacks (hit players out of range/out of your field of view)
Logging
- Split the server log output into various other files.
- Filter out certain messages so they don't show up in the console.
- Log the usage of EE Tools
Other
- Prevent the use of certain Gem armor abilities
- Forcefully unload chunks when the total number is getting too high.
- Prevent the placement of certain blocks next to locked machines/chests, to prevent people from stealing stuff with buildcraft pipes.
- Display the server time used by each and every eventlistener on the server to see what plugins are causing lag.
- Open and modify the alchemy bags and inventories of people, online and offline.
- Teleport to places where there are alot of items on the ground.
- Patch ComputerCraft to make sure people can't crash your server with ComputerCraft scripts.
- Set the minimum time for RedPower timers to prevent lag.

Dev Builds

Metrics
Tekkit Restrict uses Hidendra's plugin metrics system, and as of version 1.18 also uses TMetrics by Taeir. This means that the following information is collected and sent to mcstats.org and metrics.taico.nl:
- A unique identifier
- The server's Java version
- Whether the server is in offline or online mode
- The plugin's version
- The minecraft version of the server
- The OS version/name and architecture
- The amount of CPU cores
- The amount of memory allocated to your server
- The number of players online
- The Metrics version
If you wish to disable Metrics, you can do so by opt-ing out, which you can do in the Metrics config file under /plugins/PluginMetrics/
You can disable TMetrics in the General.config.yml file under /plugins/TekkitRestrict/
Auto-updater
Tekkit Restrict has a built-in auto-updater, which connects to BukkitDev to check for updates. If you want to change or disable this behaviour, you can change the update settings in the General.config.yml file.

Could you install nolagg and do /lag examine for me? It will output a file (/plugins/?????.exam) that you can send to me through mediafire. I don't have any full-time servers that I can count on anymore.
You could try to slow the Inventory thread down a bit in TPerformance.config.yml. See if that will help. If so, then I will look at different methods for solving this.

Posted Nov 10, 2012BTW, I forgot to tell you guys... The following item IDs were blocked from most of the Listeners for TR:
0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 17, 24, 35, 44, 98, 142
They essentially cause lag. This has been there since version 0.33.

Posted Nov 9, 2012Did you know that players can have a max of (18x18) 324 chunks around them before they are unloaded in the normal minecraft server? That is 21,233,664 blocks at maximum that the server keeps loaded for EACH player. So, even if you have the server set to 4 view distance (16 chunks, 1,048,576 blocks), they will eventually hit 324 chunks. 324 Chunks is equal to about 100-200 MB Ram.
Now with tekkit, some additional ram is taken up because some blocks are "special". AKA, Lamps, microblocks, EE blocks, IC2, RP, ect. These "Extra" loaded blocks do not take up much ram. So in reality, tekkit servers require RAM only because of the original non-restrictions with chunk unloading. Whenever companies say that you need more ram for tekkit, it's because they are being indifferent.
However, Tekkit does have many... performance issues that deal with the single main thread. All of the mods run off of the single main thread because it synchronizes them with the ... server. However, this main thread is already loading 4,000-30,000 chunks and is already being troubled by the normal usage of minecraft.
What I plan to do in the future is to completely separate all Mod-based Tile Entity Ticks (I already have the mod's side-based ticks separated) from the normal minecraft server Ticks. With debugging and moral support, of course. I'm also lessening the min-size for chunk unloading [M] the the View-distance setting in server.properties to (M * 2).

Posted Nov 9, 2012Well after some research and tests we found out that the ranks are linked, thats why we could not find the problem because we used - -tekkitrestrict as permission But this isnt the unlock node, -tekkitrestrict isnt either and - tekkitrestrict is a disable permission
So, our question is... What is the unlock permission?

Posted Nov 8, 2012Will there be options to opt out of these new ideas? For server owners and admins like me the noitem and restrictive stuff is the most important core aspect. It is most certainly your plugin but with the recent aspirations you seem to have I feel as if it is taking a different direction and won't be much restrictive as it is changing the actual mod. I am not dictating what you want to do with this plugin I would just appreciate some clarification :)

i think, most of the tekkit armors ar op, so i just mede the creeper hit for 200k dmg, so pssssstttttt, pukk.. anyways the idea of nerfing it is nice, rf weapon buff would be nice too if you prowide some kind of api, ill try to create a tr-towny link

Posted Nov 8, 2012I am Loving this plugin! It is the absolute savior of servers where i dont want to restrict much :D
The only question i have is with the SafeZones. First of all i havent been able to add a worldguard region with any build of tekkitrestrict, every time it just says that the region does not exist.
and my main question is, when using safezones from factions, is there any way to make the wilderness not a safezone? i want players to be able to use all of these items in the wilderness, while still blocking them at spawn.

Allow you to modify the health bonus of DM, RM and Gem Armour sets, as it takes several minutes to kill someone in them.
Quantum is also a big problem for PVP-based servers. I have searched for a way to limit its charge, but the only answer I found was to ban 1 piece of it, which is not my first choice.
A suggested option for IC Overflow: add an option to disable the Automatic Crafter if it begins overflowing, as not all servers use an economy plugin. On my server for example, use of the economy is completely optional.
