How to add Specific Commands or Replacements

There are two different ways to add specific commands/replacements to a curse , both of which will be covered below.

How to set up have specific commands/replacements by typing commands:

(In order to have this work you must have the permission nodes: |techiefilter.swears.add| or |techiefilter.admin|) Notice: The curse can't already be in the curse list for this to work. If it is type /tf s remove <ThatCurse> and proceed with the steps below. If you don't wish to remove that curse from your curse list for a short time you can follow the steps specified in the "How to set up have specific commands/replacements by using the Config" section of this article.

While in game type: /tf s add <The curse you want to filter> command/replacement <The command or replacement that you want run here. If you want it to run a command where you would normally type the player name put "%player" and it will perform the command and replace "%player" with the offenders name >

Important note: Don't include a "/" before the command you specify

Examples:

/tf s add bleep command ban %player Don't curse! When a player says the word, "bleep" in chat that player would be banned and the ban message would be "Don't curse!"

/tf s add Ponies replacement Boats When a player says the word, "Ponies" in chat that word would be replaced with the word, "Boats"

How to set up have specific commands/replacements by using the Config:

(In order to have this work you must have permission/access to the TechieFilter config files located in your plugins folder under the folder called, "TechieFilter"

  • Open the "TheSwears.yml" file
  • Find the swear you wish to add a command/replacement to. (Or you can add both)
  • If you want to add a specific replacement change the text that says "Random" to your specific replacement. It's found Below the curse in the child called, "Replacement:"
  • If you want to add a command find the curse you want to add it to then find the part that says "Random" and press enter. Then type "Command: <Command here without a "/" and put "%player" where you would normally specify a player name>"
  • Save the config and reload the plugins!
