TF2
Team Fortress 2
This plugin can optionally use TagAPI to color name tags.
This plugin does not need an update and will continue to work between Minecraft versions. However, you will need to update TagAPI each Minecraft version, as this plugin won't work if TagAPI isn't working.
Overview
TF2 is a fully functional plugin that allows you to simulate playing Team Fortress 2 from within Minecraft. It is based off of the popular map created by SethBling, only without any redstone required.
Players can click a sign to join a TF2 map, where they will randomly be assigned a team and teleported to their team's lobby. In the lobby, the player can pick a class using buttons, and wait for the game to start. The objective is for blue team to defend their capture points. Red team’s objective is to try and attack / capture blue team’s capture points. There is a time limit to each map, if that time limit is reached, and red team has not captured all of the capture points, then blue team wins. The moment red team captures all of the capture points, red team wins.

Requirements
- TagAPI and WorldEdit must be installed for this plugin to run.
- You will ideally need a TF2 map. We recommend this one, created by SethBling.
Example Gameplay
Features
- Fully automated lobby status wall using signs, displaying time left in the game, points captured, the status of the game, and more.
- Completely automated - players will almost never have to use commands, most everything is done through signs and buttons.
- Players are automatically balanced onto red/blue teams.
- Create custom classes defined in the configuration - players choose their class by using buttons you create and define as class buttons.
- The game lasts up until a timelimit defined by you.
- Your XP bar displays the status of the point being captured, and your level displays the total amount of kills you've made that game.
- AFK players are automatically kicked from the game.
Creating Your First Map & Setup
- Click here for a full tutorial on creating your first map.
- Click here for a quick tutorial on setting up a map. Only use this if you've created a map before and know how to use the commands it outlines.
Permissions
| Permission | Description |

Need support?
We need the following things to help you:
- The output of the /tf2 debug command.
- A full startup log (from "Starting Minecraft server version..." to "Done!").
- Any relevant errors. "An internal error occurred" means there's an error waiting in your server log/console.
Commenting below is NOT the fastest way to get support! If you need help, click here to join our IRC channel on esper.net.

Posted Dec 17, 2012Well I have just tried this with "Latest Dev Build" as link provided, also all required plugins up to date but just the same outcome.
Bit of a shame really, my server depends on a good Arena plugin and TF2 really did seem like a good choice, howvere i have wasted far too much time not just on this current issue but previous releases too.
Time to look for something else I'm affraid..
I'll look outin the future for TF2 becoming that bit more manageable then i may return to it.
Thanks BigGee

Posted Dec 17, 2012You need the latest DEV build of Craftbukkit to use this!
http://dl.bukkit.org/downloads/craftbukkit/get/01690_1.4.5-R0.3/craftbukkit-dev.jar
@HexicDragon
You need to use the latest dev build. More than setting spawns relies on it.

Posted Dec 17, 2012guys i got it to half way work finally :D
what i did, i had the same problem that i couldn't set spawn.
what i had to do was i switched to the latest DEV build. right after this the tf2 plugin was working just fine. so i was able to set spawns and ETC.
after i did that, i noticed none of my permissions worked. so then i switched back to the latest DEV build.
so that will allow you to set spawns/capture points.
-------ok my new problem of the day, the lobby is glitched and i can't kill anyone. acording to factions, it says "you died but did not loose any power due to the world you died in" because i have power loss disabled for that world.
what i think is the problem though is world guard. because right after i claimed the arena with world guard, i wasn't able to kill people. the part i do not understand now though is why i can hurt them, but they don't die.
and my SECOND problem, is a lobby issue. if you use the buttons in-game to go back to change your class, after you choose your class you can't go back.
and also sometimes it says the arena is still going from right when you first join the tf2.
im pretty sure my second problem is a configure issue though. my debug is: http://pastebin.com/FaAkbZPv
thank you for reading all of this and we're all greatful for any help :D

Posted Dec 17, 2012Hello, I am having issues setting any team spawn points and lobby points, everything else seems fine.
Debug link: http://pastebin.com/jRCRweQY
Startup Log: http://pastebin.com/raw.php?i=iCGBSwRp
No Console Errors but in-game while performing /tf2 set spawn [mapname] I get this: [TF2] Incorrect command usage! Usage: /tf2 <command> [args]
I have tried restarting server, ensuring Tag API, World Edit and TF2 are all latest versions.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks BigGee

Posted Dec 16, 2012You need the newest DEV build of Craftbukkit.
You need the MOST RECENT version of TagAPI and WorldEdit.
If something says "AN INTERNAL ERROR..." then there is AN ERROR IN YOUR CONSOLE/LOG. I need this error to help you further. Upload it to Pastebin.
If the plugin is red in the list provided by /plugins, check your startup log for an error and double check you're running the newest DEV build of Craftbukkit and the latest TagAPI/WorldEdit versions.
If your server is taking an abnormal time to start, this is caused by the redstone on the TF2 map. WorldEdit it out. This is not caused by my plugin, rather the map itself.
To set the lobby wall, follow the setup tutorial: http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/team-fortress-2/pages/map-creation-tutorial/part-5/
The commands to set spawns are:
