Downloads
I'm too lazy to upload TARDIS files to Bukkit anymore, as builds are automatically created when the plugin is updated and changes pushed to GitHub.
Version specific downloads can be found here: https://tardis.pages.dev/download
Please make sure you are using the latest Spigot/Paper builds (for the Minecraft version you are running) before installing TARDIS or creating an issue!
What it does
TARDIS is a plugin that gives you the ability to create a Police Box that lets you time travel (teleport) to random locations. It adds a Whovian twist to the typical /sethome and /home commands.
As a player, you can:
- Create a TARDIS that is bigger on the inside.
- Time travel to a random location.
- Time travel back home (where you created the TARDIS initially).
- Save and list interesting time travel locations, so you can return to them easily.
- Take companions with you when you time travel.
- Make your TARDIS blend in with the Chameleon Circuit.
- Use your own schematic to build the TARDIS interior
- Grow new TARDIS rooms
- Use Artron Energy
- Remote control the TARDIS
- Custom TARDIS sounds with companion Resource Pack
- Custom TARDIS textures with companion Resource Pack

What's new?
Installation
As a minimum, just drop the TARDIS.jar, TARDISChunkGenerator.jar (look under Additional Files on the download page) and any optional plugins listed below into the Bukkit plugins folder and start your server. For more detailed instructions see: https://tardis.pages.dev/installation-v5
Optional installs
These are not needed for TARDIS to function, but enhance the plugin with extra features...
- Install the TARDIS-SoundResourcePack in the Minecraft client to hear custom TARDIS sounds
- Install the TARDIS-Resource-Pack to see aal the fancy textures and models (requires TARDIS v4.2 or higher).
- Install the TARDISChunkGenerator plugin so that you can generate TARDISes in their own self-contained world (included on the TARDIS plugin download page under Additional files).
- Install WorldGuard to automatically protect your TARDIS from griefing, and stop mobs spawning in TARDIS worlds.
- Install TARDISWeepingAngels to add some Whovian mobs to the game.
- Install a Permissions plugin, so that you can restrict or grant players the rights to use TARDIS’ different features. We like PermissionsBukkit.

Bugs / Requests
Please post a ticket for TARDIS plugin requests and bugs, thank you :)
WARNING: I am no longer prepared to waste my time looking at incomplete tickets. If your ticket does not follow the guidelines set out below, it will be deleted immediately!
Make sure you have read the FAQs first, as your question may already be answered there. Also make sure you have searched for a previous ticket with the same/similar issue (use the Filters to search closed tickets).
If you are going to create a BUG ticket you need to supply relevant information (as I'm not a mind reader, nor do I have access to your server...) - as a minimum you need:
- Exact CraftBukkit version i.e. NOT 'the latest' - use the
/tardis versioncommand if possible, otherwise copy from server log - Exact TARDIS version i.e. NOT 'the latest' - use the
/tardis versioncommand if possible, otherwise copy from server log - The server log showing the entire error (as a paste or at Pastebin - NOT a screenshot) - this should be the log from when the server starts up right through to when the error occurs
- If no error in the log, then a video of the bug happening or the EXACT steps needed to reproduce the issue.
- Attach your plugins/TARDIS/config.yml file or other configuration file if relevant
- Attach your plugins/TARDIS/TARDIS.db file if relevant
- List of other plugins on server
Stats
Basic statistics are collected for some versions of the TARDIS plugin (v2.5.8 and earlier). You can opt out at any time by setting opt-out: true in plugins/PluginMetrics/config.yml
External web access
Version 2.8 (and higher) of this plugin includes a translation feature (the /tardissay command) that connects to the Lingva translation service.
You can prevent players from using the command by removing / not giving them the permission tardis.translate

It's on the cards, but if travel to areas is limited to using
/tardistravel area [name]for the first time a player goes there, then even if they save the location, it will be aligned to the parking grid and will mean that subsequent travel using a 'bound' button will also be aligned to the grid and other travellers will just take the next parking spot and not overlap :)-

this would mean that you should do as I requested and add the ability to run the /tardistravel area [area] command from a sign/button/block >.>

I'd guess that the overlaps would be caused by using the /comehere command a lot, I've done it myself. I use the command to move my Tardis to a better position in the the parking area, then someone lands on part of my Tardis. GM2K has had to edit the .db file a couple of times when something go's wrong with someones Tardis. However people realise its still being developed, and are really very enthusiastic about it..I'm sure there are times when ewized wishes some were not quite so enthusiastic :)

Good info in that picture, it certainly got the cogs grinding and the light coming on...
Overlaps would be possible if a player has done a
/tardis comehereto the recharger area, and then saved their location. Then if they then do a/tardistravel [save]to get to the recharge point, another TARDIS will be able to park overlapping them, as the database only stores the location at the centre of the Police Box. When the second TARDIS leaves, it will leave a (partial) dupe behind...Bit of an oversight on my part I guess. There are two solutions:
/tardis comehereto a recharger/TARDIS area (most of this code is already in use somewhere else)My preference is for no. 2, and I will do that for the next release, with option number 1 added to the todo list for a future release. Doesn't really solve your problem as of right now, unless you edit the saves in the Database that don't align to the 'parking' grid.

Still getting dupes, but I haven't been able to work out exactly what conditions create the dupes. Or why two working Tardis's sometimes merge together.
With over 40 Tardis's I have to keep checking the recharge area in the city for dupes as the available land fills up quickly with the dupes as people travel to and from the city. A map reset for 1.5 will allow for the city to be expanded to cater for more Tardis's.

That's not a bug, it a feature - you can't break a sign that has "Police Box" on it unless it's location matches the current position of your P' Box in the database. It stops players accidentally/purposefully deleting someone else's TARDIS. In the case of dupes, which are not recorded in the DB, just break the block behind the sign...
I would be MUCH more interested in seeing how and where the dupes are happening, as I cannot reproduce these myself.
Feel free to contribute to this ticket: TARDIS materials abuse

Posted Feb 14, 2013Hello, there are any news about solving more TARDIS dupe bugs? I still have that problem randomly. Here you go a little video (yep, another video from vistaero... my english is not good, so making videos is my best way to explain things) about a bug related with breaking the sign of an old duplicated police box.

the world was just called mainworld1 nothing linked or to anything to do with the tardis mod. OK i did use the tardis mod 1.8 which makes a tardis deep underground where you first make it. but that was compleatly removed before i installed the lastest one i can get, the tardis and chunck gen 1.5.1 on clanforge.
I really liked the 1.8 just didn't like having the tardis underground so moved to this one, may have been because of the 1.8 without the chunkgen

The plugin does not do anything with the main world apart from teleport you there... What is your main world called?
EDIT: Delete the plugins/TARDIS folder (if you can) and try again after a server restart

there is no message, it just won't allow me to exit, oddly enough, i'm actually perminatly stuck unless i teleport out. just can't use it in the main world mostly, nor set a home point or "save" save any areas since i'm in a tardis (the main world).
Also how do you destroy the tardis to make a new one?

Posted Feb 14, 2013Hey, For some reason the main world where i created the tardis has become a tardis itself. When i am in the tardis i can't leave when i'm in the main world and when i teleport out into the main world, i can't call the tardis to me, saying "can't teleport policebox because youre within the tardis" (or there about). any idea how to sort this?
