Downloads
I'm too lazy to upload TARDIS files to Bukkit anymore, as builds are automatically created when the plugin is updated and changes pushed to GitHub.
Version specific downloads can be found here: https://tardis.pages.dev/download
Please make sure you are using the latest Spigot/Paper builds (for the Minecraft version you are running) before installing TARDIS or creating an issue!
What it does
TARDIS is a plugin that gives you the ability to create a Police Box that lets you time travel (teleport) to random locations. It adds a Whovian twist to the typical /sethome and /home commands.
As a player, you can:
- Create a TARDIS that is bigger on the inside.
- Time travel to a random location.
- Time travel back home (where you created the TARDIS initially).
- Save and list interesting time travel locations, so you can return to them easily.
- Take companions with you when you time travel.
- Make your TARDIS blend in with the Chameleon Circuit.
- Use your own schematic to build the TARDIS interior
- Grow new TARDIS rooms
- Use Artron Energy
- Remote control the TARDIS
- Custom TARDIS sounds with companion Resource Pack
- Custom TARDIS textures with companion Resource Pack

Installation
As a minimum, just drop the TARDIS.jar, TARDISChunkGenerator.jar (look under Additional Files on the download page) and any optional plugins listed below into the Bukkit plugins folder and start your server. For more detailed instructions see: https://tardis.pages.dev/installation-v5
Optional installs
These are not needed for TARDIS to function, but enhance the plugin with extra features...
- Install the TARDIS-SoundResourcePack in the Minecraft client to hear custom TARDIS sounds
- Install the TARDIS-Resource-Pack to see aal the fancy textures and models (requires TARDIS v4.2 or higher).
- Install the TARDISChunkGenerator plugin so that you can generate TARDISes in their own self-contained world (included on the TARDIS plugin download page under Additional files).
- Install WorldGuard to automatically protect your TARDIS from griefing, and stop mobs spawning in TARDIS worlds.
- Install TARDISWeepingAngels to add some Whovian mobs to the game.
- Install a Permissions plugin, so that you can restrict or grant players the rights to use TARDIS’ different features. We like PermissionsBukkit.

Bugs / Requests
Please post a ticket for TARDIS plugin requests and bugs, thank you :)
WARNING: I am no longer prepared to waste my time looking at incomplete tickets. If your ticket does not follow the guidelines set out below, it will be deleted immediately!
Make sure you have read the FAQs first, as your question may already be answered there. Also make sure you have searched for a previous ticket with the same/similar issue (use the Filters to search closed tickets).
If you are going to create a BUG ticket you need to supply relevant information (as I'm not a mind reader, nor do I have access to your server...) - as a minimum you need:
- Exact CraftBukkit version i.e. NOT 'the latest' - use the
/tardis versioncommand if possible, otherwise copy from server log - Exact TARDIS version i.e. NOT 'the latest' - use the
/tardis versioncommand if possible, otherwise copy from server log - The server log showing the entire error (as a paste or at Pastebin - NOT a screenshot) - this should be the log from when the server starts up right through to when the error occurs
- If no error in the log, then a video of the bug happening or the EXACT steps needed to reproduce the issue.
- Attach your plugins/TARDIS/config.yml file or other configuration file if relevant
- Attach your plugins/TARDIS/TARDIS.db file if relevant
- List of other plugins on server
Stats
Basic statistics are collected for some versions of the TARDIS plugin (v2.5.8 and earlier). You can opt out at any time by setting opt-out: true in plugins/PluginMetrics/config.yml
External web access
Version 2.8 (and higher) of this plugin includes a translation feature (the /tardissay command) that connects to the Lingva translation service.
You can prevent players from using the command by removing / not giving them the permission tardis.translate

I do those steps and click the circuit only to be met with the 'You didn't click the correct type of block for the telepathic! Try the command again.' and the recurring try I get the message, 'You didn't place a crafted TARDIS Telepathic Circuit Item!' and no errors in the console.

Posted Apr 11, 2016Hello! nice to see this plugin with new features again :) but, how does the telepathic circuit work?
I thought that the companion just needs to click or right click it, but it's not working.
Thanks.

Texture pack relies on MCPatcher which hasn't been updated for 1.9 yet, it works in a limited fashion with OptiFine for 1.9 (item textues only). You can ignore the incompatible warning for now, I'll update the internal version sometime in the weekend, though a 1.9 texture pack is available if you're using Bromley Massive and you are using the GitHub version set to the 1.9 branch. If that makes no sense just wait a couple of days...

Okay, final question: the texture resource pack don't seem to work. They both (texture and sound) say they are incompatible and are for older versions. Sounds work fine though.

Try walking around a bit, I think it's a client lighting issue, and not something that I can do anything about...

Thanks. The only other thing I noticed that was wrong, and isn't a big deal, is when a new TARDIS is created, when turned on, all the Redstone Lamps stay dark. New rooms via ARS aren't affected, just the console room on activate.

Change config ->
police_box.tardis_lamp: 123, or set your own lamp preference ->/tardisprefs lamp REDSTONE_LAMP_OFFMust fix that in the next build...

I'm getting zero console errors, and everything appears to be working perfectly fine. :)
However, the one annoying thing I can't seem to figure out is: why does the default TARDIS build have a torch on top instead of a redstone lamp?

Sent you a PM with the world setup cfg
Having a basicly private server you are unlikely to have problems with griefers and thieves. Its not difficult to catch them and rollback whatever they have done, but we have to be constantly monitoring. Although the majority are banned for offensive behaviour, over 1500 now https://www.thatsnotacreeper.com/content/153-Banned-Players

Thanks, I appreciate that. I did notice the delay as well with both PWI and the old MVI install. I've noticed much less of a delay with MultiInv but it's still definitely there. I've been assuming it's just something to do with 1.9.
The server I host is a very small server compared to what you run. It's friends and friends-of-friends, so I can afford to have separate worlds for each TARDIS. It actually makes inventory management easier for me since some TARDISes are creative worlds and others survival. I can separate those worlds into their corresponding creative or survival groups in the inventory plugin.

That would be damage value only it would seem, so only items that can be damaged, like swords, picks etc. Interesting though ;)

I read that 1.9 adds support for texturing items based on data value [link]

I just wanted something simple to setup and work as quick as possible, as I found the old plugin broke with 1.9. I forgot to check what version I have last night, will do that tonight and give you a copy of the cfg. There is a couple of seconds delay when changing worlds before the inventory is loaded, although most of that time could just be my less than ideal internet connection lag.
Do you have a separate world for each Tardis? As they would slow down server startup and use a lot of resources if you have a lot of Tardis's. I would probably have 150-200 Tardis's, occasionally I go through and clean out the inactive players.

I'm curious, what is the reason you chose Per World Inventory over MultiInv or something else? I'm still looking for the best alternative that will stand the test of time and won't have to be replaced again.
PWI seemed to get confused and gave each TARDIS world its own separate, unshared inventory. Did it work out of the box for you or did you have to reconfigure anything to make it work?
Also, it looks like our awesome dev here has already begun adding support for both PWI and MultiInv to prevent exploits. Thank you, good sir :) It is very much appreciated!
 Side note:
Version 1.6.0 of PWI is potentially broken right now and may result in data loss and swapped inventories. Just a heads up in case you weren't aware. The Dev is working on fixing the problem.

TARDISWeepingAngels for 1.9 is available on the TARDIS Jenkins server (so monsters will spawn, but they just have plain untextured armour)
