Downloads
I'm too lazy to upload TARDIS files to Bukkit anymore, as builds are automatically created when the plugin is updated and changes pushed to GitHub.
Version specific downloads can be found here: https://tardis.pages.dev/download
Please make sure you are using the latest Spigot/Paper builds (for the Minecraft version you are running) before installing TARDIS or creating an issue!
What it does
TARDIS is a plugin that gives you the ability to create a Police Box that lets you time travel (teleport) to random locations. It adds a Whovian twist to the typical /sethome and /home commands.
As a player, you can:
- Create a TARDIS that is bigger on the inside.
- Time travel to a random location.
- Time travel back home (where you created the TARDIS initially).
- Save and list interesting time travel locations, so you can return to them easily.
- Take companions with you when you time travel.
- Make your TARDIS blend in with the Chameleon Circuit.
- Use your own schematic to build the TARDIS interior
- Grow new TARDIS rooms
- Use Artron Energy
- Remote control the TARDIS
- Custom TARDIS sounds with companion Resource Pack
- Custom TARDIS textures with companion Resource Pack

What's new?
Installation
As a minimum, just drop the TARDIS.jar, TARDISChunkGenerator.jar (look under Additional Files on the download page) and any optional plugins listed below into the Bukkit plugins folder and start your server. For more detailed instructions see: https://tardis.pages.dev/installation-v5
Optional installs
These are not needed for TARDIS to function, but enhance the plugin with extra features...
- Install the TARDIS-SoundResourcePack in the Minecraft client to hear custom TARDIS sounds
- Install the TARDIS-Resource-Pack to see aal the fancy textures and models (requires TARDIS v4.2 or higher).
- Install the TARDISChunkGenerator plugin so that you can generate TARDISes in their own self-contained world (included on the TARDIS plugin download page under Additional files).
- Install WorldGuard to automatically protect your TARDIS from griefing, and stop mobs spawning in TARDIS worlds.
- Install TARDISWeepingAngels to add some Whovian mobs to the game.
- Install a Permissions plugin, so that you can restrict or grant players the rights to use TARDIS’ different features. We like PermissionsBukkit.

Bugs / Requests
Please post a ticket for TARDIS plugin requests and bugs, thank you :)
WARNING: I am no longer prepared to waste my time looking at incomplete tickets. If your ticket does not follow the guidelines set out below, it will be deleted immediately!
Make sure you have read the FAQs first, as your question may already be answered there. Also make sure you have searched for a previous ticket with the same/similar issue (use the Filters to search closed tickets).
If you are going to create a BUG ticket you need to supply relevant information (as I'm not a mind reader, nor do I have access to your server...) - as a minimum you need:
- Exact CraftBukkit version i.e. NOT 'the latest' - use the
/tardis versioncommand if possible, otherwise copy from server log - Exact TARDIS version i.e. NOT 'the latest' - use the
/tardis versioncommand if possible, otherwise copy from server log - The server log showing the entire error (as a paste or at Pastebin - NOT a screenshot) - this should be the log from when the server starts up right through to when the error occurs
- If no error in the log, then a video of the bug happening or the EXACT steps needed to reproduce the issue.
- Attach your plugins/TARDIS/config.yml file or other configuration file if relevant
- Attach your plugins/TARDIS/TARDIS.db file if relevant
- List of other plugins on server
Stats
Basic statistics are collected for some versions of the TARDIS plugin (v2.5.8 and earlier). You can opt out at any time by setting opt-out: true in plugins/PluginMetrics/config.yml
External web access
Version 2.8 (and higher) of this plugin includes a translation feature (the /tardissay command) that connects to the Lingva translation service.
You can prevent players from using the command by removing / not giving them the permission tardis.translate

I noticed that also, it used to be that way. I believe Mojang made some tweaks to texture packs. Would be nice if you could set the texture in a data tag. Maybe we should bug Dinnerbone about that. It would be an easy way to add hundreds of diff items to the game.

Posted Aug 31, 2015Mobs walking in the door, love it. Mobs spawning when there are no mobs to walk in, kinda blows since it ignores the area the TARDIS is parked in.
Sitting in my TARDIS in my TPD which has all spawns turned off and a creeper walks in and blows up my door :P
Ok so I turned off mobGreifing in the timevortex... Now is there a way to configure the spawns? I don't want to turn off the walk in feature. I would like to be able to reduce its range a bit. But I would like to turn off random mob spawns and just have the walk in part. Players will just sit in their TARDIS and wait for stuff to spawn instead of exploring. Why find a swamp when I can just wait for some slimes to spawn in my TARDIS?

Option 2 does sound best. Good luck!
Thanks for the redstone block! BTW is there a way to update its position? Say if we wanted to move it from the top to right down on top of the beacon in the bottom?
Also, the recharge beacons, do they have to be at ground level or can they be a bit higher or lower?
One more thing...
Since you will be digging into the area code, is there any way you could make the TARDIS goto random spots? It would look better and then you would have less of a chance of your TARDIS parking on top of someone else(not really on top more like merged). It can happen when several people decide to meet up in a parking area. I guess the spot isn't actually taken until someone lands so if more than one person requests a spot after the first person but before the first one lands they try to share :P

Looks like configurable parking distance is OK... couple of things to think about
Option one would be easier, but option two would be more versatile and wouldn't affect existing areas...

Redstone block it is then, will be in the next build on the Jenkins server.
Will look into the parking spacing to see if I can easily make it configurable (without breaking existing areas)
BTW, I'd move your centre recharge beacon and put them one each corner (just outside the area), otherwise a TARDIS is likely to land on it...

You have have redstone dust coming from the redstone block going into a block with a redstone torch on it. The torch will turn off if the block it is on is powered. This way you can invert a signal.
Been playing with the tardis area stuff a bit, is there any way to increase the padding (spacing) between the TARDIS? They park 2 blocks away from each other now, I would like to increase that to 5.
Here is a picture of what I have so far, there are barrier blocks in-between so people won't fall.

I'm not much of redstone architect, but wouldn't removing a redstone block (to make the beacon turn on) mean that the power would not be available to run other things?

Change it to a redstone block then we can have other things that turn on when the beacon does O.O

Ahhh, is that why the beacon is acting funny... I'm sure I can change the bedrock to something else.
TPD - looks like you already have most of the tools to be able to implement this already - a TARDIS area, the /tardisremote command, and the tardis.exile permission...

Posted Aug 29, 2015Has anyone noticed that since 1.8, beacons shine thru bedrock. I assume this is so players could have beacons in the nether if they dug up to the bedrock. For the TARDIS this means we can no longer turn off the beacon.
And now for my newest idea (watches eccentric cringe)...
Timelords are masters of space and time and they like making things bigger on inside. So having a TARDIS parking dimension fits right in. What is a TPD you say? Think plotme chunk generator meets TARDIS parking. Each TARDIS gets a dedicated parking spot which would get purged when the TARDIS_TimeVortex area of a TARDIS gets purged. Maybe a tardisadmin command to force a TARDIS to its parking spot. Maybe even have it so that you can move all the TARDIS of players that haven't been on in x amount of time to the parking lot and if they log in before they get purged it moves back to its original spot. You could even have a parking lobby in the spawn protection area of the world. Someone being bad? Exile them to the TPD! muhahahaha

Make sure the plugin is up to date and any dependencies are installed. If your using the plugin on 1.8, make sure you have TardisHelper installed, version 1.7.3 or higher.
