Downloads
I'm too lazy to upload TARDIS files to Bukkit anymore, as builds are automatically created when the plugin is updated and changes pushed to GitHub.
Version specific downloads can be found here: https://tardis.pages.dev/download
Please make sure you are using the latest Spigot/Paper builds (for the Minecraft version you are running) before installing TARDIS or creating an issue!
What it does
TARDIS is a plugin that gives you the ability to create a Police Box that lets you time travel (teleport) to random locations. It adds a Whovian twist to the typical /sethome and /home commands.
As a player, you can:
- Create a TARDIS that is bigger on the inside.
- Time travel to a random location.
- Time travel back home (where you created the TARDIS initially).
- Save and list interesting time travel locations, so you can return to them easily.
- Take companions with you when you time travel.
- Make your TARDIS blend in with the Chameleon Circuit.
- Use your own schematic to build the TARDIS interior
- Grow new TARDIS rooms
- Use Artron Energy
- Remote control the TARDIS
- Custom TARDIS sounds with companion Resource Pack
- Custom TARDIS textures with companion Resource Pack

What's new?
Installation
As a minimum, just drop the TARDIS.jar, TARDISChunkGenerator.jar (look under Additional Files on the download page) and any optional plugins listed below into the Bukkit plugins folder and start your server. For more detailed instructions see: https://tardis.pages.dev/installation-v5
Optional installs
These are not needed for TARDIS to function, but enhance the plugin with extra features...
- Install the TARDIS-SoundResourcePack in the Minecraft client to hear custom TARDIS sounds
- Install the TARDIS-Resource-Pack to see aal the fancy textures and models (requires TARDIS v4.2 or higher).
- Install the TARDISChunkGenerator plugin so that you can generate TARDISes in their own self-contained world (included on the TARDIS plugin download page under Additional files).
- Install WorldGuard to automatically protect your TARDIS from griefing, and stop mobs spawning in TARDIS worlds.
- Install TARDISWeepingAngels to add some Whovian mobs to the game.
- Install a Permissions plugin, so that you can restrict or grant players the rights to use TARDIS’ different features. We like PermissionsBukkit.

Bugs / Requests
Please post a ticket for TARDIS plugin requests and bugs, thank you :)
WARNING: I am no longer prepared to waste my time looking at incomplete tickets. If your ticket does not follow the guidelines set out below, it will be deleted immediately!
Make sure you have read the FAQs first, as your question may already be answered there. Also make sure you have searched for a previous ticket with the same/similar issue (use the Filters to search closed tickets).
If you are going to create a BUG ticket you need to supply relevant information (as I'm not a mind reader, nor do I have access to your server...) - as a minimum you need:
- Exact CraftBukkit version i.e. NOT 'the latest' - use the
/tardis versioncommand if possible, otherwise copy from server log - Exact TARDIS version i.e. NOT 'the latest' - use the
/tardis versioncommand if possible, otherwise copy from server log - The server log showing the entire error (as a paste or at Pastebin - NOT a screenshot) - this should be the log from when the server starts up right through to when the error occurs
- If no error in the log, then a video of the bug happening or the EXACT steps needed to reproduce the issue.
- Attach your plugins/TARDIS/config.yml file or other configuration file if relevant
- Attach your plugins/TARDIS/TARDIS.db file if relevant
- List of other plugins on server
Stats
Basic statistics are collected for some versions of the TARDIS plugin (v2.5.8 and earlier). You can opt out at any time by setting opt-out: true in plugins/PluginMetrics/config.yml
External web access
Version 2.8 (and higher) of this plugin includes a translation feature (the /tardissay command) that connects to the Lingva translation service.
You can prevent players from using the command by removing / not giving them the permission tardis.translate

Posted Jan 26, 2015Not sure if this is a bug or problem on my side. I downloaded the "ars2.0" room schematic, named it "ars2.schematic". Put it in the "user_schematics" dir. I ran "/tardisroom add ars2" and my server responded "[TARDIS] null"... I tried different permutations of the command but got the same output. Am I doing something wrong?
Latest version of tardis on the buildtools generated 2015/01/23.

Posted Jan 26, 2015As you wish. Tickets will be created from now on.
Expect a lot of them (I'll make them short instead of repeating info), I can see many tweaks that can make this even better for servers.
On another note, has anyone else had issues with an endermen epidemic in a shared world?
They're spawning all over the place, with allow-end:false, and false in the config.yml

Oh get over it, I wasn't refering to you as a 'would be admin', if I thought that I wouldn't have replied to you, I'd have ignored you. Or you would have no doubt I was having a go at you.
Most issues are from people who didn't read the instructions or just didn't understand the instructions, its not a simple plugin to set up. Just because someone doesn't understand something doesn't mean there is a problem with the plugin or the instructions, it could be that person just doesn't understand it no matter how good the instructions are.
Don't worry to much if you don't have all the info for a ticket, just make the effort to put in everything that you can or whatever seems relevant. Tickets that read something like 'dude, tardis is whacked man, pm me when ya fix it, I need it by tomorrow' will get deleted.
We have helped you all we can for the information you have provided, until you provide more details, you are on your own.
The important thing to remember is the plugin works perfectly on many servers.

One of the main reasons I like tickets is that comments quickly get lost from the front page. A ticket is always going to be on the ticket page, and gives a chance for other users to comment and vote on it. I'm always open to suggestions, the plugin wouldn't be where it is today without the input I've had from the community.
You don't seem like the kind of person who would submit an incomplete ticket, the warning is there for those muppets who can't even be bothered to tell us what version of the plugin or server they are using... and really only applies to BUG reports not requests.
I've already improved the help message(s), it may not be up to your exacting standards, but hey, it's better than it was. If there was a nice ticket submitted with how you thought it should look and work it might be another story - however you're stuck with what I (someone who seldom actually gets to play Minecraft and who certainly has no interest in running a public server) comes up with. If it seems non-standard to you, well, just look at my name again...

I don't know what your obsession is with bug reports, but I don't intend to waste my time making a ticket when these things come standard with the plugin (especially when there are threats of it being deleted when its incomplete? Doesn't take a few seconds to ask for a plugin list?), and quick questions are being answered here. Doesn't sound like a supportive community to me.
Seeing as most of the 6940 comments here are people with issues, why not just disable the comments if you're going to be ignorant to everything anyone is saying?
You've already judged me, assumed I've not read any documentation, called me a "would-be admin", think i'm blaming the plugin for not conforming to standards of practically every other plugin on bukkit, and given me an incorrect answer to a posted issue.
I didn't come here for a lecture from you. I'm here to use a plugin that has potential and attempt to help it be more user friendly. Never blame the user if something isn't usable.

Submit a proper bug report as detailed above.
I don't pretend to keep up-todate with all the changes. If I don't understand something I dont blame the plugin because it doest work how I assume it does, I check the latest changelog also linked above to find out what I'm probably doing wrong.
If all else fails, submit a bug report as detailed above, but I think I may have already mentioned that :)

Tab completion doesn't fix:
Never seen a plugin format it that way, a paginated list would be nice.
Very odd decisions made, I guess I'm stuck finding workarounds.

Tab completion is your friend all commands support it in-game and on the console... however I don't think the command structure is any worse than many other large plugins (e.g. WorldGuard, GroupManager etc which I'm forever having to look up) plus wherever possible player don't even need to use commands are there are many GUIs and items that take their place.
As mentioned already the plugin DOES NOT restrict breaking walls and floor inside the TARDIS - if you can't handle this fact then TARDIS is probably not going to work for your server as this is not likely to change in the near future...

Right, now we're getting somewhere. Thankyou. I've been through the documentation, but with all the changes many things are outdated, and the less-than-ideal layout of the commands ingame is very difficult to comprehend resulting in my opening up the jar to see all the actual commands in the plugin.yml
I'm using 6.0.0-beta-05.1569 of WorldGuard, Multiverse 2.5b678, Yesterday's latest build of spigot.
If they shouldn't be able to break the walls/floor, I'm stumped, not even considering looking into giving access to rooms just yet until I can get past this.

Check worldguard version, a player cant break the tardis exterior, your setup is not right. None of my players can break the tardis exterior. There is no bug, its just your setup is incorrect.
If you don't want players to delete their Tardis, then just remove the appropriate permission. That's how I have it setup, if a player wants a new Tardis they have to ask for someone with permission to delete it for them. This is to safeguard against players harvesting blocks from rooms to get free items. Although I have it set so players don't get totally free blocks for room growing, but they do have to provide 50% of the blocks required to grow a room. If a player has been harvesting their tardis for free blocks, they will never have the option to create a new Tardis. You work out what option suits your server/economy system.
Also, do not use the option to have a separate world per tardis unless you have just small private server, use a shared world as they are set out in a grid and protected by WG. Each tardis has a very large area and players will never see another Tardis. Just because the option is there for individual worlds doesn't mean it will suit your server capacity. Tardis is not a simple plugin, there is a lot of requirements and many options that only you can decide how it needs to be set up. The problem many would-be admins have is they assume they can just drop the jar in the plugins folder and forget about it, it requires a thorough understanding the of the set up which is all explained in the very comprehensive instructions.
Until you post all the information in a ticket and clearly outlined above, we would only be guessing why your server is not working correctly. But I can guarantee it does work, players love it, and Eccentric always responds to questions and is very helpful..a lot more helpful than I would be with the many rude and impolite comments from those who cant be bothered to read the instructions.

An important part of this plugin is the ability for the player to be able to customise the interior of their TARDIS - to do this they need to be able to break and place blocks inside the TARDIS world. It is unlikely that all players will be 100% happy with whatever designs I decide to include in the plugin, and if you manage to stick around our little community long enough you will see that customisation is quite a big part of what the plugin is about.
Remove the permission -
tardis.exterminate, players then cannot break the Police Box sign to remove their TARDIS. As already mentioned settingcreation.countin the config can limit the number of TARDISes a player can create (creation failure shouldn't happen unless the plugin is incorrectly setup or missing/has outdated dependent plugins - and it is easy enough to rectify failures on case by case basis should it ever happen)Sure there are always going to be players who will take advantage of anything, but in general from what I have seen / heard reported large servers running TARDIS do not consider this as huge an issue as you do.

As a player, if I create a tardis with a linked inventory, I can break the tardis walls/floor and keep the blocks, take them back to the base, and delete/create the tardis and keep doing this. It's a critical part of the plugin and isn't affected by any others as I am running what's indicated to the running. It's not a bug, it's part of tardis.
@eccentricnz
Thanks for the clarification. Again not trying to be hostile (removed previous post), players seem to enjoy it, the performance is not important. As above, is the tardis itself meant to be able to be broken (you mentioned just interior)? I'm trying to get it so players can not delete their tardis without staff intervention.

BTW the timing / load issues you posted don't seem to me to be related at all to room growing, but rather the plugin struggling to find a random location - possibly due to the TARDIS being located in or around a large WorldGuard area (with no build rights)
