Downloads
I'm too lazy to upload TARDIS files to Bukkit anymore, as builds are automatically created when the plugin is updated and changes pushed to GitHub.
Version specific downloads can be found here: https://tardis.pages.dev/download
Please make sure you are using the latest Spigot/Paper builds (for the Minecraft version you are running) before installing TARDIS or creating an issue!
What it does
TARDIS is a plugin that gives you the ability to create a Police Box that lets you time travel (teleport) to random locations. It adds a Whovian twist to the typical /sethome and /home commands.
As a player, you can:
- Create a TARDIS that is bigger on the inside.
- Time travel to a random location.
- Time travel back home (where you created the TARDIS initially).
- Save and list interesting time travel locations, so you can return to them easily.
- Take companions with you when you time travel.
- Make your TARDIS blend in with the Chameleon Circuit.
- Use your own schematic to build the TARDIS interior
- Grow new TARDIS rooms
- Use Artron Energy
- Remote control the TARDIS
- Custom TARDIS sounds with companion Resource Pack
- Custom TARDIS textures with companion Resource Pack

Installation
As a minimum, just drop the TARDIS.jar, TARDISChunkGenerator.jar (look under Additional Files on the download page) and any optional plugins listed below into the Bukkit plugins folder and start your server. For more detailed instructions see: https://tardis.pages.dev/installation-v5
Optional installs
These are not needed for TARDIS to function, but enhance the plugin with extra features...
- Install the TARDIS-SoundResourcePack in the Minecraft client to hear custom TARDIS sounds
- Install the TARDIS-Resource-Pack to see aal the fancy textures and models (requires TARDIS v4.2 or higher).
- Install the TARDISChunkGenerator plugin so that you can generate TARDISes in their own self-contained world (included on the TARDIS plugin download page under Additional files).
- Install WorldGuard to automatically protect your TARDIS from griefing, and stop mobs spawning in TARDIS worlds.
- Install TARDISWeepingAngels to add some Whovian mobs to the game.
- Install a Permissions plugin, so that you can restrict or grant players the rights to use TARDIS’ different features. We like PermissionsBukkit.

Bugs / Requests
Please post a ticket for TARDIS plugin requests and bugs, thank you :)
WARNING: I am no longer prepared to waste my time looking at incomplete tickets. If your ticket does not follow the guidelines set out below, it will be deleted immediately!
Make sure you have read the FAQs first, as your question may already be answered there. Also make sure you have searched for a previous ticket with the same/similar issue (use the Filters to search closed tickets).
If you are going to create a BUG ticket you need to supply relevant information (as I'm not a mind reader, nor do I have access to your server...) - as a minimum you need:
- Exact CraftBukkit version i.e. NOT 'the latest' - use the
/tardis versioncommand if possible, otherwise copy from server log - Exact TARDIS version i.e. NOT 'the latest' - use the
/tardis versioncommand if possible, otherwise copy from server log - The server log showing the entire error (as a paste or at Pastebin - NOT a screenshot) - this should be the log from when the server starts up right through to when the error occurs
- If no error in the log, then a video of the bug happening or the EXACT steps needed to reproduce the issue.
- Attach your plugins/TARDIS/config.yml file or other configuration file if relevant
- Attach your plugins/TARDIS/TARDIS.db file if relevant
- List of other plugins on server
Stats
Basic statistics are collected for some versions of the TARDIS plugin (v2.5.8 and earlier). You can opt out at any time by setting opt-out: true in plugins/PluginMetrics/config.yml
External web access
Version 2.8 (and higher) of this plugin includes a translation feature (the /tardissay command) that connects to the Lingva translation service.
You can prevent players from using the command by removing / not giving them the permission tardis.translate

Posted Dec 17, 2014I wanted to surprise an old friend by telling him we have this plugin again, but I don't want him getting the "Get Transport" book. Is there anyway I can temporarily disable it, or set it to not be given on join?

A lot of the big servers are breaking the EULA though :|

Because that means ALL servers are in violation Have you checked out ALL servers? There are thousands of them, what a stupid statement that is. My server does not give anything apart from cosmetic options to donators, no one gets feed, heal, fly etc, ever. I'm sure there thousands of servers doing the right thing.
Now you are not only trying to interrupt the EULA to what you want it to say, you are claiming that everyone else is doing the the same as you which makes it ok.
The conditions you are required to follow when running a server is really,REALLY simple (as explained previously). If one player has a gameplay advantage over another player then you are not allowed to do it. How difficult is that to understand?
Courts dates, jail? Another totally irrelevant statement that makes no sense at all.
I have no doubts about my integrity, it's yours that people here have the problem with. Not all server operators are in it for the money, if your server cant survive without donations giving the same game advantages to all players and you are not prepared to pay for it yourself, then it doesn't deserve to be online.

So all those servers (about every one) that charges for /feed or /heal or /fly as "VIP" access are breaking the EULA? Because that means ALL servers are in violation.
Also the point system is exactly as I was talking about: enjin is a way to make real money off servers. so having a point system via enjin will be the exact same thing I was talking about, which was offering a free path, but if someone pays they can skip ahead of the path as a boon. Also, I should mention people go to jail and have court dates because they didn't ask about this sort of thing, as the EULA doesn't cover all aspects and can be taken various ways.
Lastly, for all you guys coming down on me about asking the question, please realize I don't care about your personal pride of wanting to look good to the developer by lambasting me publicly for offering the question in the first place. It doesn't set well with your integrity.

you might as well be slapping Eccentricnz in the face
You are charging other people to use a plugin that HE made.
His plugin is offered for free. also Charging others to use the plugin is also in violation of MOJANG's EULA as tardis changes gameplay. basically you're allowing someone access to travel more freely if they pay which is considered pay2win. if you want to charge for the plugin you make it charge for access to the entire server.
Can I charge access to a specific part of my server, such as a minigame or world? No, you cannot charge for any part of a server. Only the access. Once on a server, all players must have the same gameplay privileges. You may make a different server which features “premium” areas, and charge for access to that server instead, but the benefits cannot carry between servers.
Does the EULA still apply for access to user-created mods? Yes. It doesn’t make a difference who made the mods, or how they were implemented onto your server. All mods require Minecraft to run. You are not allowed to charge for Minecraft features which affect gameplay.
If you still insist on restriction try using a Point shop with enjin.
but you must provide a way for players to earn points (minigame rewards, playtime rewards[plugin coming out for that in a day or two] logon bonuses, etc). and you can provide bonus points for those who buy ranks or stuff with real money. just don't sell points directly. if you make it where they can only earn points by buying them that's still pay2win.

You are trying to twist the terms of the EULA to suit what you want it to mean.
Does the player get an advantage over others by donating? If the answer is 'yes', then you cant do it. By denying a player the access to a plugin, or even making it harder to access that plugin because they haven't donated is breaking the EULA.
On my server every player can use every plugin, although with the Tardis plugin donators are able to grows some rooms and use some features quicker than a new builder can. Being able to grow certain rooms without the player having to earn the ability through in-game money s just a cosmetic advantage, ie no player is denied the Tardis plugin. All players can still operate the Tardis, grow most rooms, manually build rooms etc. It just takes players who dont donate a little longer to access some of the cosmetic changes, but they are not disadvantaged.
Cosmetic options which do not give an advantage in game play is ok for donators to have.
Your talk of bugs is irrelevant and has nothing to do with the terms and conditions you are required to follow as a server operator.
Donations to keep the server running is also irrelevent when trying to justify giving players a distinct playing advantage over others. I run a server because I want to and am prepared to pay the server costs if donations don't cover it. As it happens the current donations will cover the server for at least another 18 months, which is a good as since bukkit died there are are less new players and virtually no donations coming in at the moment.
If the server owner is not prepared to pay the rental or the player base does not donate sufficient income to pay the rental then the server should be shut down. Starting your own server does not justify ignoring parts of the EULA you don't like to pay the bills. I dont actually care about any of those server that are so big they need a lot of money to keep operating, there are only so many players out there and the less servers around the more players will be on the servers remaining. My server is not going anywhere, its been online for over 3 years and I'm not sick of running it yet.
