Downloads
I'm too lazy to upload TARDIS files to Bukkit anymore, as builds are automatically created when the plugin is updated and changes pushed to GitHub.
Version specific downloads can be found here: https://tardis.pages.dev/download
Please make sure you are using the latest Spigot/Paper builds (for the Minecraft version you are running) before installing TARDIS or creating an issue!
What it does
TARDIS is a plugin that gives you the ability to create a Police Box that lets you time travel (teleport) to random locations. It adds a Whovian twist to the typical /sethome and /home commands.
As a player, you can:
- Create a TARDIS that is bigger on the inside.
- Time travel to a random location.
- Time travel back home (where you created the TARDIS initially).
- Save and list interesting time travel locations, so you can return to them easily.
- Take companions with you when you time travel.
- Make your TARDIS blend in with the Chameleon Circuit.
- Use your own schematic to build the TARDIS interior
- Grow new TARDIS rooms
- Use Artron Energy
- Remote control the TARDIS
- Custom TARDIS sounds with companion Resource Pack
- Custom TARDIS textures with companion Resource Pack

What's new?
Installation
As a minimum, just drop the TARDIS.jar, TARDISChunkGenerator.jar (look under Additional Files on the download page) and any optional plugins listed below into the Bukkit plugins folder and start your server. For more detailed instructions see: https://tardis.pages.dev/installation-v5
Optional installs
These are not needed for TARDIS to function, but enhance the plugin with extra features...
- Install the TARDIS-SoundResourcePack in the Minecraft client to hear custom TARDIS sounds
- Install the TARDIS-Resource-Pack to see aal the fancy textures and models (requires TARDIS v4.2 or higher).
- Install the TARDISChunkGenerator plugin so that you can generate TARDISes in their own self-contained world (included on the TARDIS plugin download page under Additional files).
- Install WorldGuard to automatically protect your TARDIS from griefing, and stop mobs spawning in TARDIS worlds.
- Install TARDISWeepingAngels to add some Whovian mobs to the game.
- Install a Permissions plugin, so that you can restrict or grant players the rights to use TARDIS’ different features. We like PermissionsBukkit.

Bugs / Requests
Please post a ticket for TARDIS plugin requests and bugs, thank you :)
WARNING: I am no longer prepared to waste my time looking at incomplete tickets. If your ticket does not follow the guidelines set out below, it will be deleted immediately!
Make sure you have read the FAQs first, as your question may already be answered there. Also make sure you have searched for a previous ticket with the same/similar issue (use the Filters to search closed tickets).
If you are going to create a BUG ticket you need to supply relevant information (as I'm not a mind reader, nor do I have access to your server...) - as a minimum you need:
- Exact CraftBukkit version i.e. NOT 'the latest' - use the
/tardis versioncommand if possible, otherwise copy from server log - Exact TARDIS version i.e. NOT 'the latest' - use the
/tardis versioncommand if possible, otherwise copy from server log - The server log showing the entire error (as a paste or at Pastebin - NOT a screenshot) - this should be the log from when the server starts up right through to when the error occurs
- If no error in the log, then a video of the bug happening or the EXACT steps needed to reproduce the issue.
- Attach your plugins/TARDIS/config.yml file or other configuration file if relevant
- Attach your plugins/TARDIS/TARDIS.db file if relevant
- List of other plugins on server
Stats
Basic statistics are collected for some versions of the TARDIS plugin (v2.5.8 and earlier). You can opt out at any time by setting opt-out: true in plugins/PluginMetrics/config.yml
External web access
Version 2.8 (and higher) of this plugin includes a translation feature (the /tardissay command) that connects to the Lingva translation service.
You can prevent players from using the command by removing / not giving them the permission tardis.translate

Posted Aug 10, 2013I must also ask one more question.
I have noticed that when the TARDIS is materializing and de-materializing , it plays a minecart sound. I have modified my minecart sounds in my Resource Pack to create the TARDIS noise when it flies.
I would like to use the "inside.ogg" file for when you're inside the TARDIS to hear a "full flight" sound, and use the "base.ogg" file for when you're outside the TARDIS to hear a "landing" sound. Could this be done fairly easy?
Many thanks.

Posted Aug 10, 2013Okay, before i updated no one could make a locator. It just didnt work. locator circuit worked but not the locator. So i updated. Then it worked. But it doesnt point to my tardis and works like a normal compass with the pass through. I do /tardis find and it says i need to make a locator. Also when i first logged on it says something was wrong with the tardis maps so some of the recipes wont work. ive tried I cant get it to reappear. Do i need to submit a ticket, or is there a config thing?

Yes, they do support custom sounds, but if you re-read the comment that I replied to your question last time, it is not yet practical to do so without replacing existing sounds, and I'm sure no one wants their minecarts sounding like a TARDIS landing...
@spysean1499
That depends on what permissions plugin your friend is using. The TARDIS permissions can be found here: http://eccentricdevotion.github.io/TARDIS/permissions.html, questions on how to add them belong on the permissions plugin page.

No, but you can convert it with Dinnerbone's TextureEnder. I see no point in updating the TP until there is support for custom sounds, see my comment here: http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/tardis/?comment=3146

Chameleon presets are scheduled for the next release (v2.6) they are currently WIP. The presets maybe be linked to biomes, haven't got that far yet, but that is the plan.
@badsanta211
I presume you have read: http://eccentricdevotion.github.io/TARDIS/schematics.html, there was an issue with the handbrake never updating, but that should have been fixed in build #316 and higher.

Posted Aug 9, 2013ok three things.1. I have been a user of the plugin since it first came out, and it is a priceless work of art.2.custom console room schematics wont work. they build the room properly but none of the buttons work even after updating all of them several times.3. Not that it matters, but how do you use co-ordinate travel? i have all perms, i checked, double checked and triple checked.
hope to hear back soon.
P.S.(help appreciated.)

Posted Aug 9, 2013eccentricnz when do you think the option to change the outside of the tardis will come because i saw the image from the earlier comments and there was a picture of different tardis exteriors and will it just be the look of the outside or will it be the chameleon circuit actually changing the outside to ft with its surroundings?

Why would you need to disable the crafting of a stick?
@Stales89
Do you have the permission
tardis.area.Fortress, it will have to be explicitly given as it will not default to OP-

Posted Aug 9, 2013I love this plugin, everything works EXCEPT rift charging. I just keep getting a "You do not have permission [tardis.area.Fortress] to send your TARDIS to this location" even though I am op AND have permissions.
Any ideas?

I'm presuming you have the permission:
tardis.timetravel.player, but your real problem is that the command is just/tardistravel [player]:)-

Posted Aug 9, 2013I know I probably sound like a complete idiot, But I'm having trouble using the "/tardistravel player [name]" command.
Every time I try to, I get the error message: "[TARDIS] You do not have permission to use co-ordinates time travel!"
I'm sure it's a simple fix, but I really am a noob.
