Downloads
I'm too lazy to upload TARDIS files to Bukkit anymore, as builds are automatically created when the plugin is updated and changes pushed to GitHub.
Version specific downloads can be found here: https://tardis.pages.dev/download
Please make sure you are using the latest Spigot/Paper builds (for the Minecraft version you are running) before installing TARDIS or creating an issue!
What it does
TARDIS is a plugin that gives you the ability to create a Police Box that lets you time travel (teleport) to random locations. It adds a Whovian twist to the typical /sethome and /home commands.
As a player, you can:
- Create a TARDIS that is bigger on the inside.
- Time travel to a random location.
- Time travel back home (where you created the TARDIS initially).
- Save and list interesting time travel locations, so you can return to them easily.
- Take companions with you when you time travel.
- Make your TARDIS blend in with the Chameleon Circuit.
- Use your own schematic to build the TARDIS interior
- Grow new TARDIS rooms
- Use Artron Energy
- Remote control the TARDIS
- Custom TARDIS sounds with companion Resource Pack
- Custom TARDIS textures with companion Resource Pack

What's new?
Installation
As a minimum, just drop the TARDIS.jar, TARDISChunkGenerator.jar (look under Additional Files on the download page) and any optional plugins listed below into the Bukkit plugins folder and start your server. For more detailed instructions see: https://tardis.pages.dev/installation-v5
Optional installs
These are not needed for TARDIS to function, but enhance the plugin with extra features...
- Install the TARDIS-SoundResourcePack in the Minecraft client to hear custom TARDIS sounds
- Install the TARDIS-Resource-Pack to see aal the fancy textures and models (requires TARDIS v4.2 or higher).
- Install the TARDISChunkGenerator plugin so that you can generate TARDISes in their own self-contained world (included on the TARDIS plugin download page under Additional files).
- Install WorldGuard to automatically protect your TARDIS from griefing, and stop mobs spawning in TARDIS worlds.
- Install TARDISWeepingAngels to add some Whovian mobs to the game.
- Install a Permissions plugin, so that you can restrict or grant players the rights to use TARDIS’ different features. We like PermissionsBukkit.

Bugs / Requests
Please post a ticket for TARDIS plugin requests and bugs, thank you :)
WARNING: I am no longer prepared to waste my time looking at incomplete tickets. If your ticket does not follow the guidelines set out below, it will be deleted immediately!
Make sure you have read the FAQs first, as your question may already be answered there. Also make sure you have searched for a previous ticket with the same/similar issue (use the Filters to search closed tickets).
If you are going to create a BUG ticket you need to supply relevant information (as I'm not a mind reader, nor do I have access to your server...) - as a minimum you need:
- Exact CraftBukkit version i.e. NOT 'the latest' - use the
/tardis versioncommand if possible, otherwise copy from server log - Exact TARDIS version i.e. NOT 'the latest' - use the
/tardis versioncommand if possible, otherwise copy from server log - The server log showing the entire error (as a paste or at Pastebin - NOT a screenshot) - this should be the log from when the server starts up right through to when the error occurs
- If no error in the log, then a video of the bug happening or the EXACT steps needed to reproduce the issue.
- Attach your plugins/TARDIS/config.yml file or other configuration file if relevant
- Attach your plugins/TARDIS/TARDIS.db file if relevant
- List of other plugins on server
Stats
Basic statistics are collected for some versions of the TARDIS plugin (v2.5.8 and earlier). You can opt out at any time by setting opt-out: true in plugins/PluginMetrics/config.yml
External web access
Version 2.8 (and higher) of this plugin includes a translation feature (the /tardissay command) that connects to the Lingva translation service.
You can prevent players from using the command by removing / not giving them the permission tardis.translate

I did answer you, and said I did not have the time to help other people sort out problems with their server as I have enough work keeping my own server operating, I also like to play but keeping the server going takes up a lot of my time. Your sarcastic answer when I told you I don't have the time is why you were removed, it was not because you asked for help. We have high standards and no warning system when players cant be courteous all the time. Email me if you like, however I wont be responding here again as its not appropriate.

Posted Jul 9, 2013I've been trying for days to figure this out, I can't get the permissions to work properly for /Tardistravel.
I've defined the area with my recharger as "hill" but every time I try to "/tardistravel area hill" I get the error message, "You do not have permission [tardis.area.hill] to send the TARDIS to this location".
Now, I have no special permission options set, the server I'm running this on is just a test bed for my main server, so I don't have a permissions.txt or anything like that which would need to be set up. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Posted Jul 8, 2013You might want to reconsider advertising the "that's not a creeper" server on your site. I logged in there this evening asking a really quick question about setting permissions (after watching all your videos, reading the tutorials, etc.) and was told that they had no interest in helping me with MY server, and that I should just read more. I was then kicked from the server.
I realize they aren't tech support, but if they're going to be getting people from here logging in there, they should at least be willing to answer the occasional question. It's a shame that the MC community is so competitive that people won't help each other out.

Definitely TARDIS.db, there are no TARDISes without it! The only other thing would be custom room schematics.
@_DaBeagle_
Unfortunately that would break backwards compatibility with previous versions of CraftBukkit

Posted Jul 8, 2013might i suggest that for 1.6 all (not the exterior due to the poopy blue clay texture) the wool be changed to hardened clay? i generally find wool as more of carpet... since the TARDIS is metal, i think that a nice, solid block would look/sound better. just my opinion, though.

Posted Jul 8, 2013Question: Besides Tardis worlds, which files are frequently changed as people build and use their Tardises? It looks like most of the configs won't change unless an admin adjusts it, but I see a TARDIS.db file and a chunks.txt. Should I add either one of these to my server's regular backups?

Yes the blocks in front of the door are checked, but only at the same level as the Police Box, so potentially you could land next to lava. In all the time I've been using TARDIS, I've never landed next to lava (the random location function also checks to make sure you don't land on lava or fire), but maybe I've just been lucky.
Like any good Doctor Who episode though, there needs to be an element of danger as otherwise it'd be no fun at all!

Posted Jul 7, 2013I'm curious if the plugin will check the blocks immediately in front of the tardis door when selecting a landing spot. The scanner doesn't tell you specifically what types of blocks (lava? fire?) are out there, only what the general location is. Is it possible for the tardis to land right beside a pool of lava or some other deadly thing? Maybe the scanner should have a "nearby blocks" section.

Posted Jul 6, 2013why not all one world for all the timelords?
new world made for each person? why?
also the rooms can only be added if its made in one of those worlds... why again?
other than that... great plugin.
oh and it might be because its 1.6.1 now but the texture pack bit doesnt work for me.

You need to use WorldEdit to make the schematic. See: http://eccentricdevotion.github.io/TARDIS/custom-rooms.html
And no, there has never been a library/pool room, they have always been separate rooms. One was submitted to http://tardis.thatsnotacreeper.com/ not long ago though.
