I'm too lazy to upload TARDIS files to Bukkit anymore, as builds are automatically created when the plugin is updated and changes pushed to GitHub.

Please make sure you are using the latest Spigot/Paper builds (for the Minecraft version you are running) before installing TARDIS or creating an issue!
What it does
TARDIS is a plugin that gives you the ability to create a Police Box that lets you time travel (teleport) to random locations. It adds a Whovian twist to the typical /sethome and /home commands.
As a player, you can:
- Create a TARDIS that is bigger on the inside.
- Time travel to a random location.
- Time travel back home (where you created the TARDIS initially).
- Save and list interesting time travel locations, so you can return to them easily.
- Take companions with you when you time travel.
- Make your TARDIS blend in with the Chameleon Circuit.
- Use your own schematic to build the TARDIS interior
- Grow new TARDIS rooms
- Use Artron Energy
- Remote control the TARDIS
- Custom TARDIS sounds with companion Resource Pack
- Custom TARDIS textures with companion Resource Pack

Installation
As a minimum, just drop the TARDIS.jar, TARDISChunkGenerator.jar (look under Additional Files on the download page) and any optional plugins listed below into the Bukkit plugins folder and start your server. For more detailed instructions see: https://tardis.pages.dev/installation-v5
Optional installs
These are not needed for TARDIS to function, but enhance the plugin with extra features...
- Install the TARDIS-SoundResourcePack in the Minecraft client to hear custom TARDIS sounds
- Install the TARDIS-Resource-Pack to see aal the fancy textures and models (requires TARDIS v4.2 or higher).
- Install the TARDISChunkGenerator plugin so that you can generate TARDISes in their own self-contained world (included on the TARDIS plugin download page under Additional files).
- Install WorldGuard to automatically protect your TARDIS from griefing, and stop mobs spawning in TARDIS worlds.
- Install TARDISWeepingAngels to add some Whovian mobs to the game.
- Install a Permissions plugin, so that you can restrict or grant players the rights to use TARDIS’ different features. We like PermissionsBukkit.

WARNING: I am no longer prepared to waste my time looking at incomplete tickets. If your ticket does not follow the guidelines set out below, it will be deleted immediately!
Make sure you have read the FAQs first, as your question may already be answered there. Also make sure you have searched for a previous ticket with the same/similar issue (use the Filters to search closed tickets).
If you are going to create a BUG ticket you need to supply relevant information (as I'm not a mind reader, nor do I have access to your server...) - as a minimum you need:
- Exact CraftBukkit version i.e. NOT 'the latest' - use the
/tardis versioncommand if possible, otherwise copy from server log - Exact TARDIS version i.e. NOT 'the latest' - use the

- If no error in the log, then a video of the bug happening or the EXACT steps needed to reproduce the issue.

- Attach your plugins/TARDIS/TARDIS.db file if relevant
- List of other plugins on server
Stats
Basic statistics are collected for some versions of the TARDIS plugin (v2.5.8 and earlier). You can opt out at any time by setting opt-out: true in plugins/PluginMetrics/config.yml
External web access
Version 2.8 (and higher) of this plugin includes a translation feature (the /tardissay command) that connects to the Lingva translation service.
You can prevent players from using the command by removing / not giving them the permission tardis.translate

Most likely it is a corrupt entry in the database that can't be converted to a number

Here is a video (probably still waiting to be processed...) which shows my test server with a square WorldBorder of radius 300. My
tp_radiusis the default 500. I can hit the button as many times as I want (with the multiplier set to the 4-tick position, putting me outside the WorldBorder) and it doesn't freeze the server.So in testing, the timeout is used to return a null location which throws the Could not find a suitable location within the current settings, the area may be protected. message - which is what should happen. If a suitable location couldn't be found because there was no space, or it's all ocean and
land_on_wateris false, or it's a skyland/planetoids world without much land, then thetimeout_heightkicks in and deposits the TARDIS in midair.-

You shouldn't be getting the message "That location is outside the World Border!" when you use the random location button, it should be telling you: Could not find a suitable location within the current settings, the area may be protected. The first message is only configured to be sent when you use a

Go into the server and type /tardisadmin debug true to turn it on, if you're wondering. I was having a problem just using the location button, it jsut would not relay so I deleted the plugin and re-downloaded it.

No errors listed because the console window just hangs and does not respond to anything. (even waited 10 minutes once just to see what would happen - nothing) I end up hitting the X button in the corner window to close it out. From the player's screen, when they get kicked out they get an "end.of.stream error" when they try to log back in before I reset the server.
I do not have any debugging settings on unless they are on by default. I'm clueless about that.

timeoutis the number of seconds the random location finder is allowed to check for a locationtimeout_heightis the Y co-ordinate that the police box will be dumped at (i.e. in midair) if it can't find a location on the ground somewhere... so what might be happening is that the location finding times out, and TARDIS tries to use the last random location that was calculated - which is still outside the world border - which leads to the crashI will do some testing and see what can be done... any errors thrown in the server log?

Posted May 25, 2013Ok been a while. everyone is enjoying this plugin, however we seem to found a problem. The server crashes whenever someone hits the random location button that sets it outside world border boundaries. I got a couple of different players to do this repeatedly and it would stall the server. Here are the settings...
main world boundary set to 1000 by 1000 location of the tardis would be somewhere near the boundary all the repeaters are set with redstone torches furthest apart (4 ticks I think) random location button pressed -if a location within boundry pressed again until message pop up saying "location is outside boundry" or something like that. There is a pause of a few seconds before that message pops up and then when the button is pressed for another location it will either give a good location or it will pause for a slight moment and crash the server.
I changed tp_radius to 50 but it still crashed. Havent tried timeout and timeout_height since I don't understand how that works.
suggestions? other than telling everyone that the button is off limit at the moment.

Posted May 25, 2013So after much testing, I found out that an error spammed in console ([INFO] Cannot convert to number) was originating from this plugin in the "TARDIS.db" file. Any ideas? We have alot of people and don't want them to lose their tardises

Sent it in, you can tweak it as needed for it to work. EDIT No, nothing is centered. I needed to make it look like it was in the middle of space. if it's too big or something is wrong, let me know. This is why I wanted you here, you could have told me what was wrong as I did it :P
