Downloads
I'm too lazy to upload TARDIS files to Bukkit anymore, as builds are automatically created when the plugin is updated and changes pushed to GitHub.
Version specific downloads can be found here: https://tardis.pages.dev/download
Please make sure you are using the latest Spigot/Paper builds (for the Minecraft version you are running) before installing TARDIS or creating an issue!
What it does
TARDIS is a plugin that gives you the ability to create a Police Box that lets you time travel (teleport) to random locations. It adds a Whovian twist to the typical /sethome and /home commands.
As a player, you can:
- Create a TARDIS that is bigger on the inside.
- Time travel to a random location.
- Time travel back home (where you created the TARDIS initially).
- Save and list interesting time travel locations, so you can return to them easily.
- Take companions with you when you time travel.
- Make your TARDIS blend in with the Chameleon Circuit.
- Use your own schematic to build the TARDIS interior
- Grow new TARDIS rooms
- Use Artron Energy
- Remote control the TARDIS
- Custom TARDIS sounds with companion Resource Pack
- Custom TARDIS textures with companion Resource Pack

Installation
As a minimum, just drop the TARDIS.jar, TARDISChunkGenerator.jar (look under Additional Files on the download page) and any optional plugins listed below into the Bukkit plugins folder and start your server. For more detailed instructions see: https://tardis.pages.dev/installation-v5
Optional installs
These are not needed for TARDIS to function, but enhance the plugin with extra features...
- Install the TARDIS-SoundResourcePack in the Minecraft client to hear custom TARDIS sounds
- Install the TARDIS-Resource-Pack to see aal the fancy textures and models (requires TARDIS v4.2 or higher).
- Install the TARDISChunkGenerator plugin so that you can generate TARDISes in their own self-contained world (included on the TARDIS plugin download page under Additional files).
- Install WorldGuard to automatically protect your TARDIS from griefing, and stop mobs spawning in TARDIS worlds.
- Install TARDISWeepingAngels to add some Whovian mobs to the game.
- Install a Permissions plugin, so that you can restrict or grant players the rights to use TARDIS’ different features. We like PermissionsBukkit.

Bugs / Requests
Please post a ticket for TARDIS plugin requests and bugs, thank you :)
WARNING: I am no longer prepared to waste my time looking at incomplete tickets. If your ticket does not follow the guidelines set out below, it will be deleted immediately!
Make sure you have read the FAQs first, as your question may already be answered there. Also make sure you have searched for a previous ticket with the same/similar issue (use the Filters to search closed tickets).
If you are going to create a BUG ticket you need to supply relevant information (as I'm not a mind reader, nor do I have access to your server...) - as a minimum you need:
- Exact CraftBukkit version i.e. NOT 'the latest' - use the
/tardis versioncommand if possible, otherwise copy from server log - Exact TARDIS version i.e. NOT 'the latest' - use the
/tardis versioncommand if possible, otherwise copy from server log - The server log showing the entire error (as a paste or at Pastebin - NOT a screenshot) - this should be the log from when the server starts up right through to when the error occurs
- If no error in the log, then a video of the bug happening or the EXACT steps needed to reproduce the issue.
- Attach your plugins/TARDIS/config.yml file or other configuration file if relevant
- Attach your plugins/TARDIS/TARDIS.db file if relevant
- List of other plugins on server
Stats
Basic statistics are collected for some versions of the TARDIS plugin (v2.5.8 and earlier). You can opt out at any time by setting opt-out: true in plugins/PluginMetrics/config.yml
External web access
Version 2.8 (and higher) of this plugin includes a translation feature (the /tardissay command) that connects to the Lingva translation service.
You can prevent players from using the command by removing / not giving them the permission tardis.translate

No one else to blame then if your Tardis gets deleted. :)

I am the admin for the server, and it is a feature i would like to use
@eccentricnz
I'm not sure how often I travel, I've never had a reason to pay attention to the frequency. I will change the default time to something like a month, just to be on the safe side

Check with your admin to find out if that option is going to be used.

The reason I chose the handbrake was so that the database doesn't get hit all the time, and the fact that the default prune time is 2 weeks, surely you would travel at least once every 2 weeks (real ones, not Minecraft ones)?

Errors in the server log? Incorrect permissions setup?

Posted Apr 17, 2013I've got something odd happening now. I was experimenting with a Tardis design and decided to delete it after I figured out how room building worked. I created a new one, then ran around building rooms in a much better layout. I went to take it for a spin and the destination button didn't do anything. I ran a /tardis update button...it says it updated, but the destination button still won't work.
UPDATE: I see what happened. I blindly updated the plugin without noticing that I was still using an older version of Craftbukkit. I'm going to try rolling the Tardis plugin back.
UPDATE 2 Rolling the plugin back to the Craftbukkit 1.4.7 version fixed my problem. I should have paid closer attention :) I run a ton of plugins on my server, so it generally takes a while before I can update to a more recent Craftbukkit. It's the price I pay for having a bunch of cool plugins like Tardis :)

Posted Apr 17, 2013I was wondering, on the prune command, is there any way you could tie that to the door instead of the handbrake? I LOVE my TARDIS, I'm in and out of it all day, I just don't travel often. Honestly I would hate to have my TARDIS removed just because I don't travel around in it much

The new feature is not an indicator of how many TARDISs they can have at the same time, It is for how many times can you build and destroy your TARDIS before it wont allow you to build any more

That's an interesting feature o.o
Though I can't imagine why someone would need more than one TARDIS...

Have implemented a config option to limit the number of TARDISes a player can build and destroy:
count: [amount]- if[amount]is set to0there is no limit (the default)And some commands to go with:
/tardisadmin count [amount]-> sets the maximum TARDIS builds allowed per player/tardisadmin playercount [player]-> get the player's current TARDIS count/tardisadmin playercount [player] [count]-> set's the player's TARDIS count to the amount specifiedTARDIS 2.2 build #99 on the Jenkins server

Click the Artron button with something OTHER than the TARDIS key to get the percentage of full charge. Will update the docs!

Posted Apr 16, 2013I've been poking around the documentation and couldn't find something...is there a way to see how much energy your Tardis has left? Still loving the plugin! I created a second Tardis with my secondary account to test it out more.

The latest build of 2.2 was built against Bukkit 1.5.1-R0.3, so it's fully up to date thanks :) Besides there are no recent Bukkit changes that affect the plugin...

Posted Apr 16, 2013A couple more suggestions, if possible.
Protect the redstone from harvesting in the redstone tardis.
This may not be easily done as the player data is probably all deleted from the data base when a tardis is destroyed or removed by admin; a cfg option to set the number of times a player can build a new Tardis to stop them harvesting the un-protected blocks. Would need a message reminding players how many times they are able to delete and start a new Tardis.

Posted Apr 16, 2013Thank you so much for that, I was able to wake up this morning and within 2 hours make a plugin shell that actually loads and displays a message on the screen when a player logs in. Now to the fun part of building my plugin.....
