TabConfig is a plugin that provides a simple configuration based custom tab using the TabAPI. Using the easy to use config you can change the global tab list to anything you want!

This plugin requires that you have the following installed or it will NOT work!

TabAPI Note: Version B 0.1.15 or higher is required!
Protocallib

Simply drop the plugin into the plugins folder and start your server up. The plugin will generate a default configuration for you to customize to your liking. How to use the different variables and other things is described in the config.

Variables:

{online} = players online
{max} = max players online
{player} = player name
{displayname} = player display name (what shows up in chat)
{tabname} = player tab name (what normally shows up in the tab)
{servername} = Server name (In Server.properties)
{fillplayers} = auto fill the reset of the tab with the online player list
{ping!serverip.com!online} = Pings an external server for online players
{ping!serverip.com!max} = Pings an external server for max players

Commands:

/tabconfig = reload the tab from the config

Note:

Max char length per slot is 16 characters. no two tabs can be identical. If your tab is 14 char or less long a unique char sequence will be added to the end of the tab making it unique.

What is this

I read it saying that we need it for this plugin but what is it and how do i get it

Its pretty cool... but how to only use the first 3 tabs, and then have playerlist work as normal.. instead of an extra 6 tabs all empty but showing ping bar (possible to force ping bar to be all black?).

Would be good if in the config a list of names could be provided, and if any of those players are online, then instead of there name going the normal online list they go in whichever tab has a variable for them, so they can be at the top of the tab list..

Like

#Special lists staff = Notch, Jeb, Dinnerbone, allSlackers, etc They get put in 3: - '&8Staff Online:' - '{staff}' - '{staff}' 4: - '{staff}' - '{staff}' - '{staff}'

@Double_0_negative @ModzMalo Really Cool! But one suggestion, Could you make it so that if you added {FillDonors} people with Tabconfig.donor would show up there same with {FillStaff} and Tabconfig.staff

How can the fillplayers variable be compatible with Tagapi? yes tag not tab. Also, the fillplayers variable is on, but only shows your name? How do i fix this?

Like really...? Did you even read the note? It clearly says you need a higher version TabAPI to make it work. BUT it has not been approved yet so you have to wait till bukkit approves the new version of TabAPI. THEN you download the new version of TabAPI and everything should work.

It does not work on my server. I've installed everythin & the server.log tells me, that the plugin is enabled. But ingame my tablist is empty

Can u make a example of the tabmenu config of how to config it coz im haveing some trubles getting it to list players atm it just ses the players name like person that is loged on so eg when i go on and hit tab it only shows me and to outher people it only shows them

Hub server is fine, the other servers are messed up. Hub server does not restart daily, but other servers do restart daily. Not sure if this might be the problem.

EDIT: This is really weird, all of my servers had same problem. Now my pvp server fixed it self somehow, and MineZ server seem to be good too. However my survival server is still messed up. So I am still trying to find out what is causing this.

And it's not approved by Bukkit yet :/" Yes you do need TabAPI 0.1.15 to make it work, a quick tip: when you are doing config make sure you fill all of the "tables" in the TAB. To fill it just type like - ' ' You will bypass a lot of problems as when tab updates it moves text to free space, but when it's all filled it can't be moved.

No, I do not use any plugin that would color tab names.

Hey edyzio, I went to your server just now and it seems that the problem is gone, how did you manage to fix it?

EDIT: How do you get TabConfig to work? It needs TabAPI 0.15 right? And it's not approved by Bukkit yet :/

I had the same problem, because I had a plugin that colors the tab-names. I removed it - and - there weren't any players above my list anymore.

So you have to search the plugin and remove it.

I guess I report bugs here.. So everything works perfectly fine, but I got a little problem. Not sure if it's a bug or I did something wrong. This is what I get: http://gyazo.com/19cc38246254e6595a79cf6cdb981be3 For some reason it still shows players list above the TabConfig area.

Sounds great, just a few features that I want to suggest. Balance(Vault) Potion Effects(Easy way to see in PvP) People with a certain permission(like a line for donors and a line for staff and stuff)
