Survival Games is a plugin that has the aim of creating a fully automated hunger games style experience. The plugin was created to be simple to use, and to be easily setup on any type of server, no matter the size or type! Survival Games provides a way for your server to have a full fledged, fully automated hunger games experience for any player. Requirements
Before installing this plugin, a few things are required.
- WorldEdit- Needed to create arenas.
- MySQL Database (optional) - If you wish to use stats, you must have an SQL database.
Conflicts
- Any plugin that modifies damage amounts by applying more damage can sometimes cause issues and make the player actually die (ie McMMO).
- Some locking plugins such as LWC have been reported to have issues with the lobby signs, but should work normally if protection is turned of for those signs.
- WORLD PORTAL will make this plugin completely break if the lobby is not in a world that is loaded at start!

New Permissions:
If you have for example 6 arenas, and you want every player to be able to join all arenas, give each rank the following permissions:
- sg.arena.join.<arena#> (Replace <arena#> with the arena number.)
- sg.arena.join
- sg.player.vote
- sg.lobby.join
Note: Devs and important people of this plugin have colored names on lobby signs

Posted Jun 17, 2012Another thing, when players come out from spectating it is as if they are still spectating, they can't open their chests or do anything until they type /sg spectate again to stop spectating. Also could there be a single permission node for /sg spectate ?

Posted Jun 16, 2012I'm getting "phantom" players in my server and the real players can't join. As they try, your plugin tries to tp them to an arena, and the server throws an internal error. I found a bukkit bug submission that exactly matches mine and based on the comments and a little logic, I've come to the conclusion that your plugin is trying to stick them back into a finished game before they're even really spawned leaving a phantom version in-game, and the server unable to add an existing player. A little help?

Posted Jun 16, 2012There are a few players on my server that can't get hit by players inside the games, they are just random players. The Co-Owner can't get hit, and some normal members can't get hit, I've tried everything to fix it.
Also: When people play, they lose their items that they had, they come out with nothing.

Also, for one of the VIP options, you should add the ability (With the VIP permission node) to use kits - once per game. You can configure a couple of kits, but the VIPS can only use one per game, and its a very nice feature to have.

Please think about this:
Automatic Single Game Option
This system would be a simple option in the configuration.
gametype: automatic or choice.
Choice would be the game mode we have now, choose an arena and spam the hell out of people asking them to join.
Automatic would automatically cycle through all defined arenas. Using /sg join would automatically add you to a queue (Or a waiting line) which gets you into the next game. Only one game is running at once, and when a game is in-progress and you try to join you will be added when the next game starts.
Automatic takes on the same exact principles, except it is automated. Only one arena is running at a time, and everyone in the queue is put into that arena when a game starts. To leave the queue, use /sg leave.
Thats basically it, an automatic mode where you join a queue and are in it until you want to leave. You will keep being put automatically into the next game, where EVERYONE will be. An easy way to set up BIG games, and not much different from the usual. Only one arena is running at a time.

Works just fine for me .. it just doesnt show any result when issuing the command. just do it and start over in the arena your in.
Console output would be good tho :P .. but i think the devs are busy as it is atm .. they'll fix it eventually :D

PLEASE, how do I block this command?!?!? :( It is ruining the PVP because people use it to flee from battle with instant teleport!!
I wanna keep this plugin so much, but I can't deal with the instant teleport! :(

Posted Jun 16, 2012If you ever get the chance do you know if you could make the death cannons configurable? I have a server running this plugin with 10+ arenas (Great plugin ;)), and many of my players are aggravated by the lag that the deathcannons can produce. I've looked through the config, and I can't seem to locate an option to turn the deathcannon off. Thanks and keep up the good work! :)

Make a lobby wall with signs 10 down 9 across. Then just put [SurvivalGames] join signs everywhere. Also, if you are to have 10 arenas, you should at least have 1.5-2gig of server RAM otherwise, its just gonna be lag.
