SupaChat 2.7 - Custom Chat Formatting

Plugin Support

Supports all Vault permissions plugins.

Description

Custom chat formatting.
Based on the idea of iChat v1.5 by Nijikokun.
Includes code and concepts from mChat by MiracleM4n: https://github.com/MiracleM4n/mChat/

Features

Supports Permissions through Vault
Allows you to specify a prefix/suffix/variable for users and groups on a per-world or global basis.
A user-specific prefix/suffix/variable will take priority over a group prefix/suffix/variable, a world-based prefix/suffix/variable will take priority over a global prefix/suffix/variable.
Unlimited amount of custom variables for use in chat format.
Colors are supported in all parts of the formatting and chat text.
Usable health bar and health amount in the formatting.
Support for formatting of /me
World-wide variable support
Support for offsetting timestamps

I could also post a ticket but I wasn't shure youre using the bukkit ticket system. I think a feature which allows me to display heroes information like level, class and similar would be great. Also a ranged chat mode would be good and channel system like hero chat 5 offers (supachat and heroechat 5 won't work togehter supporting each other would also work). And commands to set the pre-/suffixes which allows admins to automatically set prefixes by other plugins as an reward.

Factions does not work with the lastest update, and can you make group display names run off the suffix so I do not have to have white brackets?

Example: iname-format: +{wName}+factions+prefix+group+suffix +displayname

Founder:

prefix: '&0[&a&l&o'

suffix: '&0]&a&l'

When I try this to chat becomes weird and has a double background.

okay :-)

When issueing /me under 2.6.5 the below error occurs:

[SEVERE] Could not pass event PlayerCommandPreprocessEvent to SupaChat v2.6.5
Caused by: java.lang.NullPointerException

Whole error: http://dev.bukkit.org/paste/8330/

handle-me is set to true and the formatting is like this:

me-format: '&6* +name +message'

Due to the error, the message appears in white.

edit: There's another problem as well.
The author of SELBans can't seem to hook his mod into SupaChat.
Due to this muting of players doesn't work =/

I believe he made it compatible with Factions. Not 100% sure but I think that's what the update was mainly for. Jav, correct me if I'm wrong :P

downloaded the new file 2.6.5 but it still tells me that it's version 2.6.4.
It also gives me an error message in console...

but this is per user isn't it? I am looking for a per group .. can it do that? Reason I am trying to set it up per world is I would like to set up custom names for the worlds .. so instead of valcraft it would VAL

Thank you for the plugin. I love the custom variables support :D

I do have a question that I cannot find an answer to:

I use GroupManager for permissions, which allows me to assign a group and multiple subgroups to a player. Is there any way to pull the prefix and suffix for a user's subgroup?

As an example, lets say I have a user "Derpy". He is a member of the group "Novice" and has the subgroup of "Moderator".

I already use the 'prefix' variable of "Novice" to color that tag in the iname-format. What I would like to do is use the 'suffix' variable of the "Moderator" subgroup to color the brackets around that tag. Is this possible? If not, is there some workaround I could use other than manually setting 'suffix' variables for every user that has a subgroup?
