I know now whats wrong but its hard to explain lets try it :):
Your MySQL server doesn't allow connections form your minecraft host. If you have full access to your MySQL server (root access) and if you are running PHPMyAdmin on it you can easily add your Minecraft Server to the allowed hosts. Look here for more information.
If you don't have the permissions to add/edit users to your MySQL server you have to ask your hoster if they can do if for you.

Hmm true lol, just never realised how much and yes I do run my database server on the same box.
and hmm odd, let me update the plugin again and see what happens, I will report back.
EDIT Hmm not sure why but it just doesn't want to seem to count items for me, block logging works fine but item counts are still off..

If you want to track everything in MC a lots of database synchronization is needed. Although its possible to improve the item logging. I'll do this if i have found/fixed most of the bugs :)
I'll look into the item logging but during the next week and i hope i can make the item logging a little bit more efficient in the future.
By design the plugins creates lots of database traffic so I hope you run the MySQL server on the same machine as the Minecraft server :)
EDIT:
I've tried to reproduce your bug: 1.) Place sugar canes (10) 2.) Broke the fires 5 and picked them up 3.) Broke the other 5 4.) 10 sugar canes appeared on my stats page.

Will do, and this plugin does a lot of database synchronization :-)
Also not sure if you've noticed but "item" logging is still buggy, it will now log the item but only "1" at a time, for example break some sugar cane and you pick up a few at a time it will log "1" for all what you pick up. However go back later and repeat this and it will log "1" again. I assume it logs it for each time you do it after each synchronization?

Can you set debug: true in the config and restart your server. If you get the error again please send me the server log again. (2 min before the error - 2 min after the error)
Thx. :)

Glad to see someone is alive lol ;-)
@MarioG1
Also in reply to your database issues, yes I do have a few now. I had left my server running since yesterday after the last compiled version and have just got home from work and noticed in that time it had a few database connection issues. I will upload them to paste and post a link with them.
EDIT Here is the paste for it: http://paste.ubuntu.com/6817064/ and this was in the span of about 21 hours.

When you are using an permission system be sure your set the logging permission right. For detailed info look in the faq.

Posted Jan 25, 2014When I am logged in on Admin, ti has spotted the server and is working perfectly fine. However, on the user end it shows the server offline and no play data.
Any ideas? I'm using the dev you posted 7-8 hours ago.

Posted Jan 25, 2014Because of the great work of MarioG1 we got an build compiled against 1.7.2. First of all you can test it from here but if this works I'll post it here on bukkit dev!
Big big thanks to Mario!
Also got rid of some tickets. Most of them were because of an outdated plugin. Hope this release helps :D

Hehe well I wouldn't either since I haven't used this plugin in ages lol, but I will compile your latest changes and let you know how it works.
Also if there is anything I can do to help your database issues let me know, I'd be happy to lend some assistance.
And lastly, I commented on one of your recent changes :-)
EDIT Confirmed, item drops and pick ups are now logged and displayed.
