Staffz is an experimental plugin that allows you to summon certain staffs through a command and then use said staff. Each staff has its own abilities, some of these abilities include: Explosions, Fireballs, Healing, and even yes, from Team Fortress 2, a Rocket Jump.
Staffz also offers a new feature called Magnetism, this allows you to toggle weather you pick up common items such as dirt, cobblestone, etc. this is very helpful for mining and digging in survival. Please look for the big magnet picture, when you click on that it will bring you to a page on Magnetism, there is a whole series of commands and permissions to know.

-I will be updating this to 1.7 as soon as it comes out. Though it make take sometime due to Jurassic changes and such.
Features
This plugin features the following staffs
- Ice Staff or Peacekeeper fires Snowballs.
-Fire Staff or Chaos fires Fireballs.
-Rocket Jump (my personal favorite) is where you right click the ground and you slowly go upwards, but be careful, go up too far and you will come back down and die.
-Boom Stick, the ultimate weapon of fun and explosions. This is NOT something to toy with.
-Healing Totem, legend once said that there was a healing staff that could heal both hunger and health.
-"staffs", allows you to access a GUI with all the Staffz items so there is no need for the trouble of getting every single item through a command. This is very useful for people who just want all the items quickly.
-"sc <itemname>, allows you to view the crafting IN GAME of any item in staffz. Each crafting has its own permission. For example if I wanted an admin to see all the recipes but a new user to see only the crafting to the boomstick it is now possible. Command usage:
/sc pk , displays the crafting to the Peacekeeper
/sc cs, displays the crafting to the Chaos Staff.
etc.
-Also I forgot to mention, here at Staffz we want your server to be protected. Because of this rule we have developed an extra line of security, a permission to summon the staff and a permission to use the abilities given with the staff. For instance, you are on your server a normal day and somehow a normal user gets one of the staffs , with one layer of permissions they would be free and destroy your server but with a 2nd line of permissions they'd get the staff and it'd be useless. Below are the 2nd layer of permission nodes which allow you to ACTIVATE the staff not just get the staff through a command.
pk.act - Allows you right click and use the Peacekeeper's abilities.
cs.act -Allows you to right click and use the Chaos's abilities.
rj.act -Allows you to right click and use the Rocket Jump's abilities.
us.act -Allows you to right click and use the Ultamatrix's abilities.
blade.act -Allows you to right click and use the "Hero's Blade" abilities.
ht.act -Allows you to right click and use the Healing Totem's abilities.
boom.act-Allows you to right click and use the Boom Stick's abilities.
staffs.act -Allows you to access the backpack for Staffz.
I have not decided to add in permissions for crafting recipes. (e.g, player trying to craft Ultimate Staff gets denied) and this is because the recipes are so expensive and there are other permissions that block this that it isn't needed as of know so there is no point in putting in another 5 hours of work to get it to work. I hope to add this into a later version such as 0.9. P.S I've looked around and bukkit doesn't have that great of inventory listeners so that makes it harder to cancel a craft event..
Magnetism.
A whole new feature that I have intorduced as a little bonus which helpts prevent inventory spam, very useful, please click the magnet image which will bring you to a page explaining the feature, all of the commands, permissions, etc.

I am just revamping the code completely and adding a boat load of new logic features for when explosions happen, adding more features to the ultimate staff, chaos staff and peacekeeper, adding something new possibly, expanding the config, thinking about particle effects and a set of tnt staffs. That is all.
Just a tip guys, I won't be releasing the next version soon, it needs about 2 weeks, I am adding not only crafting, but some other stuff, bug fixes etc. I'm thinking that 1.0 will be released next, so I will be releasing .8 and .9 at the same time...just to note. ;)
Epic spoiler* instead of posting images of crafting recipes on the thread I am going to be adding a command that opens a crafting table with the recipe PRE-BUILT. When you click on this it will not give you the item unless you have a certain permission. Hope to release the next update today...

All of the stuff in the config about what you said CAN be done and quite easily.
You can edit the item's data it will take SOME time due to the fact the code behind it is not quite that simple.
I am thinking next update because of you I will add the config files. THEN I will add craftables. And all of this will be coming within the next 2 days:) I have the day off.
And I would like to personally thank you for your support toward the plugin and now I know what to do in the future :D

If you could add a config (couldn't find one) and editable data values for the buff duration on each item for each ability that would be awesome.
Also, it doesn't say in your overview that the PK and CS blow things up/act as TNT. Not sure if you forgot to add that in, and the ability is intended or vice versa. Personally I would just like the buffs and no TNT abilities. It just makes the items more OP. In-fact if it's intended, it may be best to have a true/false option for the TNT ability on these items. Then everyone gets the best of both worlds, and more customization.
Oh...I just saw the us.use perm as I skimmed over the page again. I might just have the above issue because I'm op, and haven't negated that perm for myself.
I really would like to be able to edit the items data, and even names and description if possible...

What's with the rarity? I don't really see a point in it because every item is spawned by a command. Nothing really rare about that.

This plugin has a lot of potential. It's pretty much what I was going to do with two other combined plugins, create custom staffs for buff effects that are craftable, but this plugin does/would make it all very easy for myself as a server owner. However, I really need the customization and config for it to be worth it. Otherwise other plugins can do it better, but it does takes more time and effort.
Sorry for the book. I love giving feedback especially if I find something worthy :)
