StackableItems
StackableItems
StackableItems allows you to raise or lower the default stack amounts for any item. Items can also be disabled (disallows pickup and crafting). Items can be set in three different ways: individual players, permission groups (requires Vault), and universally.
Example use cases:
- Carrying 16 snowballs while carrying 64 cubic meters of dirt is ridiculous.
- Carry a stack of water buckets or mushroom soup with you so you never run out
- Make potions stack
- Limit stacks of food for a hardcore survival server
- Allow only privileged users to craft/pickup TNT
- Allow individual players to craft custom items
Download: BukkitDev
Source Code: Github
Example configurations
- Items are capped to 127 max to prevent item loss.
- Configurations use Bukkit Material names.
More info on the Configurations page.
Custom configs per group/player
Each Permissions group or player can be setup to use their own custom config by creating a new file in the StackableItems directory. Examples for me would be: I am in group admin and player haveric, so I could use admin.yml or haveric.yml
A group file will override defaultItems for the Permission group.
A player file will override a group file or defaultItems for the given player.
Permissions
- - stackableitems.admin
- Allows a player to use in-game commands to set stack amounts and reload the config.
- Permissions can also be used to create groups which can be handled with group.yml (ex: admin.yml) files
Options
See the options page for detailed descriptions of each option in options.yml

Posted Aug 31, 2014I cant use stacked armor. Once equipped it reverts back to 1. Am i the only one with this issue? Only solution/work around is to place the stacked armour in the hot bar, then mousse hover over the armor slot and press the hot bar number.

It does not currently support any kind of commands to give items. It would most likely require a custom /give command written for StackableItems, which will then conflict with other plugins. It is on my list of features to get to though.

Posted Aug 20, 2014Thanks for such an awesome plugin!
So it seems in my case that I when increase the stacking amount for emeralds from 64 to 100, the increase only works when items are picked up off the ground. When I try the command "/give [player] emerald 100" I get two stacks of 64 and 36. Is there a way to fix this?
Thanks in advance! :D

This issue should be fixed in the next version. When that will be released, I'm not sure as of right now as I'm still trying to find a workaround for hopper issues.

Posted Aug 15, 2014The groups aren't working :/ Chemist: MIN: -1 MAX: -1 POTION: 32
My Chemist group can stack to 32 potions only if they have Chemist as their MAIN group. Most of my players have it as their subgroup and they can't stack to 32 that way. :/
I am using GroupManager.

Posted Aug 15, 2014Alright, it appears I get this error when I use this plugin in conjunction with a mod like MrCrayfish's Furniture Mod.
Here's my error report. I'm guessing it's because the plugin doesn't support inventories from mods yet. Or something along those lines.

Thanks.
Command examples like what you just did would have been a ton of help. lol

It works, there just appears to be some sort of wonky plugin conflict on my side, which I've yet to investigate.
EDIT: As a side-effect of me testing for other plugin conflicts, StackableItems has started working for me again. The problem is: I don't know which plugin did it, as I removed a couple, but I suspect it was this one, mainly because it controls many inventory-related aspects.

I have not tested it with Cauldron, but feel free to try it and let me know of any issues you run across.

Commands for something that gets as complex as this plugin can are tricky. I've tried to make them as simple as possible and I am trying to improve them for future versions.
For what you are trying to do, you can use

Posted Aug 4, 2014I can't seem to find much help about how to use the in game command. I assumed (item):(max stack amount) or something like that. However, it apparently can't find the materials I want to change, or the amount I put is understood as an item ID. Just wondering, why is the command not simpler than it is, and why is there not an example command. Other times I type the command, absolutely nothing shows up. If you don't mind, I'd like to see how you type the command to limit apples to stack to 3, considering the 'help' is not help. It's pretty much useless. Also, what does dur stand for?
/is item:dur [amt]
and what is amt? I thought that might have been amount, but I tried it that way, and nothing happened. Please work on making in game commands simpler. Or at least don't abbreviate words in the /help section for your in game commands.

Posted Jun 18, 2014Okay, we've come across a new problem on my server. Automatic brewing stations do not work properly using this plugin.
Hoppers spit items out onto the ground once the slots are filled, and the ingredient slots are having bottles automatically placed in them as well.

I have a potentially better method in mind, but have not had time to try implementing it yet. Even so, it will still be extremely complex to make sure it works everywhere.
I'm aware of a couple hopper issues and will look into them when I get some free time.

I'd love to at some point, but it's not supported due to how Minecraft handles stacks, meaning I'd have to handle a lot of it manually. Anything over 127 can become unstable and confusing. (Stacks will show as a single item and item loss can occur between sessions)
