A Beta 1.7.3 Creative Mechanics Plugin

SpongeUnlocked is a plugin created specifically for Minecraft Beta 1.7.3 (CraftBukkit 1060).
It is not intended for modern Minecraft versions.

This project was built purely for entertainment, nostalgia, and creative experimentation.
It is completely free and non-profit.

My name is Katerina, and I started playing Minecraft at a very young age during the Beta 1.7.3 era. That version has always had a special place in my heart. My main interest is exploring how far we can push the technical limits of Beta 1.7.3 and creating new mechanics using only the limited tools available at the time.

SpongeUnlocked is the first of many plugins I am developing for this version. More creative experiments are planned for the future.

🌊 Core Features

- Absorbs nearby water within a 5-block radius

- Activates only when directly touching water

- Enters a "wet sponge" state after absorption

- Must be emptied before reuse

- Can be emptied using an empty bucket

- Provides fall-damage protection while wet

🟢 Slime Sponge

- Craft a special sponge using a slime ball to unlock new physics

- Launches players approximately 8 blocks into the air

- Sneaking (Shift) disables the bounce effect

- Does not absorb water

- Can be reused indefinitely

☠️ Mob Trap System

- Slime sponges also function as hostile mob traps

- Activates when a hostile mob steps on the block

- Affects Zombies

- Affects Skeletons

- Affects Creepers

- Affects Spiders

- Launches affected mobs approximately 20 blocks into the air

- Mobs take full fall damage, often resulting in instant death

- Players are not affected by this trap behavior
