Permissions

Setup
- Select 1 corner of your first goal : leftclick with slimeball
- Select a second corner of your first goal : rightclick with slimeball
- Register your first goal : sbselect goal "goal"
- Do 1-3 with so many goals you want
- Select 1 corner of your stadium : leftclick with slimeball
- Select a second corner of your stadium : rightclick with slimeball
- Register your stadium : sbselect stadium "stadium" "goal1" "goal2" ...
- Register your ball : sbselect ball item "ball" or use sbselect ball block "ball" after you have selected a ball
- Create the game : sbgame create "game" "stadium" "ball"
- Add the players to the game : sbgame autoaddplayers "game" or use this for manual add sbgame addplayers "game" "goal" "players"
- Start the game : sbgame start "game"
- Have fun
- Stop the game : sbgame stop "game"

Sorry for my late response, but I was not at home. So... you should be able to kick the ball after a correct setup. Could you be a bit more specific? Did you use a slimeball or block? How many players were playing? Did you get any errors?
That the game is not saved after reload may be caused by the /reload command. I'm pretty sure, if you shut your server down it should work. I will look into this today. (Maybe fix in next version then.)

You have to start the game first with /sbgame start "gamename" The settings should save after a restart. Do you have any errors?

You have to decide, if you want to use a slimeball or a block as ball. If you want a block, use the guide above. Else you have to type in /sbselect ball item "ballname"
