Speed Boost
Infinite Speed and Jump Boosts for players on the server!

This plugin gives infinite Speed Boost and Jump Boost to players with right permission.
Permissions:
speedboost.speedboost.one
speedboost.speedboost.two
speedboost.speedboost.three
speedboost.jump.one
speedboost.jump.two
speedboost.jump.three
It also "refreshes" the boost every time player closes his inventory,
which means players will have the potion effect all time when they play on the server,
without taking much RAM or other resources.
Speed Boost is super lightweight, and small (2kb).
Installation:
- Download
- Put in "/plugins" folder
- Give permissions to players you want to have the potion effect
- Restart server
- Done!
No configuration needed
(no config file)
Todo
- Add other potion effects - Jump boost added v.0.25
- Add different potion strengths I-III added in v.0.3
- Recode so you only have the potion effect WHILE sprinting or jumping
- Create another plugin with way more potion effects

Posted Jun 30, 2014At the moment, every class except for one actually has the permissions, but every class has the speed and jump boost of three.. is there something I'm doing wrong? thanks. Great plugin by the way.

wrong man!
I have this plugin on my server, i set it up so they can only have speedboost 2 and jumpboost 2 at the world 'world', but at worlds such as 'survival' 'creative' 'hungergames1,2 &3' they STILL have the speed boost, but not the jump boost.
And NO i didn't give them the permission in those worlds, i ONLY gave it to them in the spawn world.

I see other servers with the infinite thing, which is what I want, The timer annoys me xD can you do this?

To fix this, DEOP the player, give them "*" permission, and give them -speedboost.speedboost.one -speedboost.speedboost.two -speedboost.speedboost.three -speedboost.jump.one -speedboost.jump.two -speedboost.jump.three
Notice the "-" meaning negative.

Posted Dec 15, 2012Been very busy with another project. The announced new way of handling Jump and Speed boost on the TODO list will be released at later time. I already managed to figure the Speed boost part, but need more work on the Jump. Sorry if anyone was waiting the update.

Yes, it's completely allowed. My code is public and always free to use.
I see why you had to tell me that, to annoy me and make me think you are better. That's probably true, my code is just very basic, and I don't know any advanced java.
If you know how to improve my simple code, go ahead. I'm not getting mad.

Then the parkour map should be in different world, and give -speedboost.speedboost.* to the player for that world. If you are admin with .* node, you can still give yourself negating permission node. I suggest using PEX, I know it works on that permission plugin, if it doesn't work in others.
I honestly don't know how to make toggleable things, it would require way more knowledge, and right now I am working on another, way bigger project, so I will only update this to new versions, if there comes any compatibility issues.

Well what if there is an owner that has all the commands that is op and has every permission, or a donators doing parkour on short jumps and he doesen't want to have the Speed Boost effect on.

The point of the plugin is to be super simple. I am not going to add commands. And toggling makes it way more complicated..
Why would you like to toggle speed boost? When you would possibly disable it?
