SpawnMob

Table of Contents

SpawnMob lets you spawn mobs! But wait that's not all! SpawnMob has many features such as: Mob kits, tamed animal spawning (ocelots, horses, wolves), baby mob spawning, killing mobs, advanced horse spawning, mob spawning to custom coordinates, mob spawning onto a players location, spawn mobs riding mobs (Spider Jockeys), making mobs ride players, making players ride mobs, making players ride players, and changing what mob spawners are set to spawn. Even more features are coming soon!

Update

The new plugin zip has been uploaded and is waiting for approval. This adds support for 1.8, new mobs, and the update system. Oh and it breaks lots of things, YAY.
YOU HAVE TO MANUALLY DOWNLOAD THE BETA BY GOING TO THE FILES TAB
My life update:
I will be completely re-designing this plugin with the knowledge I have collected in my first two years of college (computer science major). When that finally happens, you can expect normal updates to this plugin and additional features to be added.

Next Release

The next release will have the following new features/bug fixes:

Console commands
Command block support
General fixing of everything

Installation

Extract files to the plugins folder of your server.
Run the server.
Edit config files.
Restart server.

Bugs

The new craftbukkit release has broken the way I found if players are online, things broken due to this will be marked with a *
Spawning mobs riding players or players riding mobs OR players riding players is broken.
Spawning mobs onto a player location is broken.
Anything to do with spawning things to on or with players is broken.
Elder Guardian cannot be spawned.
Zombie Villager cannot be spawned.
Mob spawner can't be changed to mobs that have '_' in the name. Example: Magma_Cube

If you turn the "friendly" feature off: "#Enable Friendly? friendly-enabled=false" then breeding still works. This means you won't get to use the custom friendly/agro values though.

/spawnmobkill all and /spawnmobkill villager says it kills all villagers but it does nothing to them.

it's all working good for me, but for some reason when i try to spawn any kind of mob more than 4 times, it only spawns 4. For example:

/sm pig 20 - that'll only spawn 4 or 3 monsters. I'm having this problem with other mob spawning plugins too, and i can't find any reason why it's happening, Nothings being coming up in the logs either, any ideas?

hi, one problem with feeding animals with wheat, they do not want to bear children. Maybe I did not understand the plugin. Thank you!...

Really cool plugin but I found a few problems:

"/spawnmob slime:8" and "/spawnmob slime:huge" just spawn a random sized slime.
"/spawnmob kill slime" does nothing but bring up the "killed all slimes" message.
I can't spawn a creeper riding a spider on planks or leaves, but it spawns fine on grassy dirt blocks. The same problem could occur with other mobs or materials, I haven't checked.
I can't spawn a mob riding a player or a player riding a mob. (maybe I just misunderstood the directions)
"/spawnmob wolf mad" does nothing.

@zerroah I hope you know that Bukkit doesn't support Mojangs snapshot builds of upcoming MC updates. Since that's the case, how do you think this can be updated to 1.2pre?

When the Ender Dragon spawns it destroys any block it touches. And it homes in on people and mauls them till they die. Any way to fix this erratic behavior?

Got this error on my CB Server 1597 1.0.1, tried it on a fresh download and got the same error.
Every time I try /mspawn Cow (or any mob) on a Monster Spawner, I get the following error.
