Spawner
This plugin allows you to set mob spawner types and optionally gather mob spawners with a Silk Touch enchanted tool.
Thanks to @shop1126 for this video which showcases some of the plugin's features.

Can you make the spawner drop the spawn egg of the spawner, and configurable number of iron bars if it is broken without a silk touch pickaxe?

The exp thing I probably could add. Not sure yet about the other stuff but maybe some day.
Definitely won't be built against 1.7.2 though. The new release will only work with Spigot 1.8. You must figure out how to use that if you want to use the newest release.

You can edit spawners setting: How much EXP you get killing the mob - You can set the mob name tag when they spawn - You can set the mob's life - You can set the mobs damage.
If you can, please make the update for 1.7.2 too, because i cant download a bigger version because of this bukkit legal problem.

Posted Dec 28, 2014just wondering is there a way to do alias like change the name of a spawner or shorten it like for a iron golem maybe do /spawner iron to change it?
also is there a way to have a perm for a group to be able to mine spawners and retrieve them with any pick and not just silk?, thanks

Exactly :P There could be also a message like "Bad luck" or just a customizable one. That would balance some servers (including mine) quite a bit, since I've made the spawner mining a donator perk.
