Map Creation

Maps Guide

If you do not want to create your own map, you can check ready made maps here. To load the map simply drop map folder into SWmaps folder in server folder. Then you can let the plugin choose random map, or do /sw startgame [map name] . Full map name must be typed. For example i have a map named SW_Asteroids , in this case I will need to type /sw startgame SW_Asteroids to start the game on that map.

Start-up

Map folder name MUST start with SW_ !

It is recommended that you start new empty world in sp, then edit map in MC Edit to have little terrain to build, and then continue on server. Plugins like World Edit can help you build map faster and easier. Map examples can be found in maps page.

In this game it is very important to set the center of the map. Center is marked by the spawn point of the world and can be set with MC Edit.

After locating the center, you will need to decide the size of Your map. (Map has to be big enough and contain a lot of free space as players will fly around.) Then set the limit by doing /sw set limit [integer] where integer is the number of blocks from the spawn point. This will tell the plugin where the map ends, and player will be killed once outside the map. (Limit marks the square "box" in which the map is so anyone outside the box is killed.) If you are still confused, imagine that limit is a radius.

Example: If you plan to make an asteroid map, then make sure that the limit is higher than the furthest asteroid from spawn point of the world.

Setting respawn points (rpoints)

A respawn point is where players will initially spawn and start the game.

To set a respawn point You will need to go to the desired place and do /sw set rpoint.

You need at least 1 respawn point to start battle on that map. (Number of respawn points should rely of the size of Your map and density of structures it contains, but I would recommend at least 4.)
