SOS

Description

SOS (Save Our Server) adds many commands that the administrators need, all in 1 plugin! Everything from /day to /feed to /clearchat!

How to install

Download the plugin, add it into the plugins folder then do /reload or restart the server.

Commands & Permissions

Command	Description	Permission	Aliases
/chatclear	Clear the chat.	sos.chatclear	/cc, /clearchat
/day	Set the world's time to day.	sos.day	-

/feed [player]	Feed yourself or another player.	sos.feed for yourself and sos.feed.other for others	-
/fly [player]	Toggle flying for yourself or another player.	sos.fly & sos.fly.other	-
/gm [player]	Toggle gamemode for yourself or another player.	sos.gm & sos.gm.other	-
/hat [player]	Puts the item in hand on your head. If you specify a player, it puts the item in your hand on their head.	sos.hat & sos.hat.other	-
/heal [player]	Heals yourself or another player.	sos.heal & sos.heal.other	-
/kick <player> <reason>	Kick a player for a reason.	sos.kick	-
/ban <player>	Ban a player.	sos.ban	-
/unban <player>	Unban a banned player.	sos.unban	-
/lockchat	Lock the chat so nobody can talk.	sos.lockchat & sos.lockchat.bypass	/lc
/nickname <nickname>	Nickname yourself or another player.	sos.nickname & sos.nickname.other	/nick
/weather <sun/rain/storm>	Set the world's weather.	sos.weather	/rain (sos.rain), /sun (sos.sun)
/time <time>	Sets the world's time.	sos.time	-
/vanish	Vanish from others.	sos.vanish	-

Why use this plugin if there are for Essentials, to say the logic: "less than 10 plug-ins", is total nonsense, because these are essentials in it, and therefore I find this plugin for quite unnecessary, useless

Its based of Essentials but without usleass commands and im adding more right now I have Chatclear that isnt in essentiala its in lota of plugins but alone my goal is to add commands and only useful commands. My aim is to stop servers needing lots of plugins with 1 thing in.

Im on a ipad and on holiday so sorry for no grammer and there may be some spelling errors, I just wantes to reply so you know what SOS is all about.

Ok, let's start with the objective of this plugin.

The objective you've aimed for is the same as Essentials, however essentials has fulfilled it's goal.

Second, most of these things here came from Essentials, is this an inspiration or a copy?

I have already added the chat formatting in 0.07 and you can also do /chatcolor (color) to set your chat color :) The mail i like i may add this in 0.1 though not sure yet but a good idea!

There are hundreds of other plugins like this. Why use this? Only 7 commands?

There are so many plugins like this, why should I use this one? I understand if this is your first plugin, but so many people make a plugin like this as their first plugin, it gets boring. Try to think of an original idea, more people will download your plugin.

Second, why in the world is your plugin 19kb if it's just those 7 commands?

Third, just from decompiling your plugin I can already see NullPointerExceptions EVERYWHERE. You aren't initializing the "Main plugin" variable.

Fourth,

public void initialiseConfig() { FileConfiguration config = getConfig(); config.addDefault("Message_Prefix", "&a&lTest"); config.options().copyDefaults(true); saveConfig(); }

can be shortened to

this.saveDefaultConfig()

in the class that extends JavaPlugin.

Good luck on creating new plugins.

It Would Be Awesome if You added mail and Full Chat Support for Formatting, This Plugin could become as good as essentials ;)
