Simply Broadcast
This is a plugin I threw together that broadcasts a list of messages at regular intervals in random order. Not only that, but it enables you to customize both the messages and the intervals.
FEATURES
- Add an unlimited number of messages
- Customize the prefix before messages
- Customize colors of prefix and messages
- Change the interval between each message
- Edit all of this IN game or OUT
COMMANDS
- /bc (Basic command, shows current version)
- /bc messages (Shows a list of all messages)
- /bc add [message] (Adds [message] to the list of messages)
- /bc remove [index] (removes the indicated message from the list)
- /bc interval [seconds] (change the interval between messages to [seconds])
- /bc color [prefix/message] [COLOR] (change the color of [prefix/message] to [COLOR]. For a full list of colors go here)
- /bc prefix [prefix] (Change the prefix to [prefix])
- /bc info (shows current info in the config)
PERMISSIONS
- bc.admin (Gives access to all commands)
CONFIGURATION
settings: interval: 60 prefix: [Broadcaster] prefixColor: DARK_BLUE messageColor: BLUE errorColor: RED messages: - YOLO - Test - works - hihihi
- Interval is the amount of time in seconds between each broadcast
- Prefix is the prefix before each message
- prefixColor is the color of the prefix

I really like your plugin. I mean there are many others which handly broadcast messages but yours is smooth and easy to use without too many not needed extras. So if you still like to upgrade your plugin then i would have 2 suggestions to make it "perfect" for me :
1. Color Codes support 2. Bool for random messages (in order or random)

Posted May 15, 2014Another feature I thought up is making it so that if you do not have any players on your server, the announcer does not send messages. That way you won't get as much spam. :P

Posted May 15, 2014Okay. Here is your load of feedback:
I tried to turn the prefix color to "PURPLE" and came up with an error. Could you please update this plugin with all the colors? Perhaps using &1, &2, &3, &c, etc would be better? I think it would be better if you did not use DARK_BLUE as your color for your in-game help messages and example. DARK_BLUE is rather hard to read. Not impossible, not super hard, but not super easy. Another thing, I am using your plugin on my 1.6.4 server and it seems to be working fine (other than the missing colors). You should add 1.6.4 to the MC versions on the download pages. When updating this plugin, please make sure that it still supports version 1.6.4.
Also, I suggest updating the config for newbies. It's a bit bland.
My example. Use this or something similar. :D

if people are still interested in this, I might update it and add color codes (as in &2 and &f and others like that). This plugin is a bit out of date with my ability so I may add new features.

Posted Apr 27, 2014Hey silentsam5! :) I really enjoy the simplicity and the ingame commands. Still I am wondering if it is/would be possible to use more then 1 Prefix Code - like [DARK_GREEN, BOLD]. Also I would like to use different colors in the message itself. Is that already possible? I tried the common format "&1" f.e. but it did not work. Besides that - great work!!! So simple to use and not too complex. Exatcly the plugin I was looking for.

I uploaded the file! There was a slight mix up where I accidentally created two duplicate projects and uploaded the file to the one the moderators deleted. Sorry about that!
